On Mike & Mike this morning, Golic said that Jones' agent is reporting that although he is not conceding the fact that he won't play next year, if that does happen he will re-enroll at WVU and finish his degree.

Heard the same thing on another radio show this morning. Regardless of what happens I think he needs to go back to school. Just to give him something else to focus on instead of BS.

Would be by FAR the smartest thing he has done in years. Pretty sad statement right there.

I totally agree...this kid has been a total thug for as long as anyone knows...he was always in trouble in high school and college, people have this misconception that all his problems styarted once he entered the NFL or something, and that is absolutely untrue

You have to have the mindset to want to live your life the right way. It's obvious he hasn't to this point. He's never faced anything with consequences such as loss of livelihood and freedom.

If he's legitimately trying to change his environment, a classroom offers an alternative to all the other BS which has gotten him into this situation to begin with. It offers a bit more structure to what he's been doing the past two years. So if he's putting in a legit effort to be a good person going forward, then why not go back to school. Shoot, join church too, if that's gonna help.

You want to see guys making an effort to turn it around. Whether it works for him, who knows. But it's better than sitting around doing nothing.

I agree. The hard part will be can he walk away from so called friends that he has been mixed up with who will continue to drag him down with them

I hope he does go back to WVU, it would be good for him. Its well known that strength and conditioning coach Barwis was one of the best influences on Pac. However, I hope the closest he gets to the team is in a video on How to screw up your life.

College classrooms don't offer a hell of a lot of structure. Nowhere near the structure that being on an NFL team offers. College/University faculty generally don't care if you come to class - most won't notice if you are there. He'll have somewhere to be (if he chooses to go) about 12-15 hours a week. The rest of the time is free.

I'm skeptical that he's using this to support his reinstatement next year.

It's times like these I miss that little smile guy that rolled across the screen. We should get that one back.

I would think that WVU would ban him from working out with the team.

I'm skeptical too, but he should follow through with it, cause he isn't playing next year, no matter what he thinks...

I just look at it as a point of focus... School does offer a bit of structure if you're focused on being successful and disciplined in your studies. 12-15 hours of class time, but then if he's diligent, then you add more time for homework, studying, and whatnot. And this is something that he can do while working out and doing whatever else he has to do as part of his suspension conditions. Less time to BS

As for how successful he'll be during the suspension, I don't know. Just saying, that if he's thinking of doing it, then he should do it.
