I love watching Mike Mayock and I am always excited for his annual mock BUT....

He picked Courtland Sutton at 19. I would be heartbroken. However it isn't as bad as LVE.

About the same
Both have raw talent
Both have high risk of bust

I would prefer Anthony Miller as well. LVE though, this guy has bust potential written all over him. I am scared to death he will be our pick though.
You are not basing that on reality. He's a very good player who got better every game he played last season. Has off the charts size and althletic ability. He was the alpha dog on his team and was voted team captain before his junior season. When he had yet to start.

Your right he did, he had 141 tackles in 2017. The year before he had 27 tackles. The year before he had 20.
1 year of great production. I don't run the Cowboys but I sure as hell would rather spend a 1st round pick on someone who has a better track record and not so much bust potential.

And back to Mayock's draft he had Detroit taking Landry after the Cowboys. If the Cowboys didn't take LVE it would because they took someone like Landry that fell to them. He also said at pick 27 that Moore was his top ranked WR. So what the hell was he doing putting Sutton at 19? At least trade down.

Remember that this isn't what he would do, it's a prediction

The year before was his sophomore season where he had a neck injury that was misdiagnosed as a concussion. Once he went to a chiropractor he was ok, but he missed most of the season.

He said HIS top WR, not Dallas'

And still as a injury which is why many teams has removed him from there board

Isn't that all a mock draft is or supposed to be. It isn't supposed to be a pet cat or a pipe dream, it is a prediction of what they think the team will do?

In the past we have gone for the 6'3"+ large WR. He is likely basing the pick on that fit. I am not sure that is the case anymore.

Those are false rumors started by people like Mayock. He got a 4/5 at the combine medical check and that was for a sprained knee. He had no issues with the neck once he had treatment for it. It's a common and minor football injury.

We visited Moore and had him in for a 30 visit. We only brought in Sutton once. I think Moore would be the pick if we were going WR in that case.
More likely but I think they are looking defense over wr with the thought the depth is still there in the 2nd.
