Yes, I did and I had it scored just like the judges did

A clear mayweather victory..

Manny isn't going to Rip anything. Nobody rips Floyd..beat him? Maybe..Floyd's defense is too damn good to get ripped

It wasn't a close fight, by scoring standards.

Mayweather didn't stick to his plan to stay in the center of the ring and let himself get pushed against the ropes. Cotto basically looked like he had a career fight, though, and it still wasn't enough to topple the best.

Moreso than that, Floyd's counter game. The dude is arguably the greatest technical fighter of all time. He doesn't get hit hard, and when you think you've hit him, he comes back and hits you two or three times, and his counterpunches are crushing (not as crushing as Tyson's hook in his prime, but pretty damn good).

If Floyd stays in the center of the ring and is able to circle his target and counter, with active defense, he's virtually unbeatable. It's when he gets cornered or pressed to the ropes that he gets in trouble because it doesn't allow him to step back and circle-step back in for counterpunches.

Made it to the 1st round, and I passed out. :bang2:

I need to go back and watch a replay of the fight. Have heard more than a few people say that while Mayweather won, it was closer than the judges final scorecards indicate. So I'm definitely inerested in seeing how this fight really played out.

Mayweathers fights are boring. Cotto hung with him. I felt if he would have just went over hand and down instead of under it would have worked. Floyd was leaning back and the punches were sliding off his shoulder.

I watched the Mosley and then Mayweather fight..

Boxing just isn't that entertaining to watch after getting in to MMA.

Shoulder roll. Floyd has made this defense into an art work. You can throw the overhand right, but you're only going to catch his shoulder. And in the process, you're going to open yourself up to that straight right of Floyd's that he has made a living off of as well.

Only fighters I have seen that have found success have thrown combinations by going to the body, then up stairs. That or folks who have not been afraid to get inside and stick with their jab or straight left.

Floyd will eat you alive if you try and do that.

Shane Mosley is FINISHED. He needs to hang up the gloves. He got beat the hell up last night. It was sad to watch.

Actually, not true.

Rewatch Corley, JLC 1, ODLH, Cotto (when he had success) and Judah when they fought Floyd. All fights were they had very good success against Floyd by getting inside, and were not afraid to use their jab.

Always been known that the wink link in fighters who use Floyd's style of defense is someone with a strong jab, or a good southpaw fighter.

Corley (southpaw) had Floyd hurt terribly bad and probably came the closest to finishing Floyd out of anyone he has ever fought.

Castillo got his version of a JMM robbery in his first fight with Floyd. There was no question Castillo won this fight, but this fight was another in the long history of boxing robberies. Castillo got inside consistently, utilizing a strong jab, and made the fight a nasty inside battle.

Most folks had an old ODLH ahead of Floyd until he abandoned his jab and tried to outbox Floyd in the later rounds. In those rounds, Floyd cruised and brutalized Oscar. ODLH was ripping Floyd up with his jab on the inside in the early rounds.

Cotto's real success last night was when he got inside, but got ripped apart standing outside. He was pretty much a statue trying to fight Floyd on the outside.

Judah (southpaw) used his athleticism and straight left to get in and out, and gave Floyd absolute (insert you know what here) in their fight. Was close on the cards, and Judah should have won regardless. Should have been a DQ loss for Floyd when Roger Mayweather charged in the ring and went after Judah mid-fight. But that doesn't really have anything to do with how well Judah did against him in that fight. :D

I'll have to re-watch the others, but primarily I thought Cotto's success came when he put Floyd against the ropes and in the corners, effectively halving Floyd's movement and escapability.

Once Floyd was able to take back the center of the ring, it was like fish in a barrel on Cotto's jaw.

I'm not even going to pretend to be a boxing officianado here, but it looked like Cotto's most consistently effective punch the other night was the left jab.

This fight was a joke. Floyd toyed with Cotto all night. Then he finally put some effort in the 12th round and completely tagged Cotto that whole round.

Boxing is dead and there's only one fight anyone cares about.

But Floyd keeps coming up with excuse after excuse. Stay in jail you thug...
