except it will probably trigger many in here if they take one of the two who allegedly are some of the best in the draft Michigan interior D lineman yeah buddy yee haw... Imagine having 2 Michigan players on the inside and scoot makers making some plays Oh yeah does Michigan hating fan base they won't be happy... We will be talking about for years how they passed up on Jeanty lol
Mason Graham would be like hitting the lottery, too bad he won’t make it out of the top 5

What I’ve noticed is his attitude - am I the only one that’s seen him “chirping” quite a bit after plays lately. Looks like a player that may finally be invested in his craft. Last year and early this year, he just looked like a guy that was going through the motions. There was no emotion to his play. THAT is my opinion on what may be changing. And, I think he may be better at a traditional DT than at NT - his major malfunction at NT is his anchoring ability isn’t that good. I’d like to see him with a REAL NT.
I've noticed it too. I think he is gaining confidence and thus the chirpy mouth is following closely behind.

How sad is it that I'm excited to see a grade that isn't even 70 from our first round pick from last year

FYI his grade for the season is 35.2 so something seems off with those week by week grades

I am one of the few that haven't given up on Mazi considering what went down last year, and another new system this year. I am encouraged that he is showing signs of being a competent DT and making a few plays. I am not big on PFF's grading but looking at the overall grades you have to be somewhat encouraged that he is developing. I get it we live in a world where you're garbage if there isn't an immediate contribution, but there is something to be said about a guy who is still fighting and putting in the work to get better.

If he finishes strong and posts up a few more 68+ grades with even another 80+ before the season is over, I think I like his chances next year taking a bigger step in his growth and we could see an entirely different player.

Ill start by saying I dont put a ton into PFF's overall grade. Their value to me is in stat tracking. However its showing a clear trend

Week 1: 30.4
Week 2: 30.2
Week 3: 33
Week 4: 88.4
Week 5: 32.1
Week 6: 49.5
Week 7: 49.3
Week 8: 27.4
Week 9: 63.4
Week 10: 55.9
Week 11: 69.6
Seems he is developing into a well rounded bust.

You say that but we’ve seen guys like TJ Watt and others slide I don’t know where did Aaron Donald go to 13th 15th TJ Watt in the 20s guy slipped down so you never know

I have noticed him improving as the season progresses. Hopefully, it continues and into training camp 2025. Draft another solid DT to put on that line and we might be cooking
I forgot what game it was, somebody hit him when he wasn’t looking. And he started a fight. Ever since then he’s been playing angry, which is a good thing.

he is definitely one of my favorites, but sometimes he gets too emotional lol. But isn’t that what football is about

he sucks. he should be a solid starter and big contributor as a first round pick. now in second year, some people celebrate one good game out of 11!!!!

he needs to be cut. but we won't. Jerry hates to cut players in the middle of contract if he has paid a large bonus up front.

Mazi is here to stay for 4 years. his 5th year option will not be picked up
LMAO. Stop it. He’s playing better because he’s playing angry, he’s getting used to the game, he’s actually a very calm person in nature. If you read about him. I don’t know what game it was but somebody hit him when he wasn’t looking and he’s been playing angry, since which is a good thing

He always was and may always be enigmatic.

If only there was a culture and coaching here to get him to put forth a serious effort each week.

I think there are quite a few of us who haven't given up on him. His play overall has been disappointing, but he's only in his second year so he can still grow into a quality player. I thought his play stood out several times in this game.

If Graham is gone, what do you think of Walter Nolen? I really want to help the interior of this defense.

Player development is not a switch that suddenly turns on. There is a reason why they constantly talk about day to day and putting in the work. We all know it takes time to develop DT.

He still has had some stinkers and repeats mistakes. This season makes it a struggle to keep an open mind.
Well said. DT is one of the positions that is harder to get right when drafting a guy. Other than QB, DT is very hard to translate to the NFL. So far, I think in no way can we say he is or will be a bust. Worst case, I see a guy that's serviceable and can play in the NFL a long time. He may never be a beast, but that's ok. All we need him to be is good. I think he has shown he can. It will take another season to see.

it is..

It's also very difficult to really know how well they're doing because true nose tackles true one text not hybrids the ones that just are supposed to eat space or double teams all day are hard to really judge...

I always keep this argument like Jordan Davis came from a great school cream of the crop pick 13th overall one year ahead of mazi have you watched his career with the eagles on that defensive line you think he'd be freed up a whole lot more..

i mean just look at his numbers over ....averaging one sack a year he has like 35 career tackles.. I mean even if some people think he's slightly better than Monty he was taking thirteen overall people let that sink in imagine what kind of player you could've got there as far as a skill player wide receiver linebacker pass rusher corner safety you know something viable that you can see the stat line but did the eagles fans cry over that pic I wonder why I mean he doesn't in my opinion look much better if he's a fraction better he's been in the League One more year and came highly touted i'm not seeing much of a gap but i don't pay attention to the eagles...

Now that he is not a complete waste, he gets chirpy.

big deal.

I do not see him getting a real second contract which makes him a bust for a first rd pick
