I am not a fan of Broadus so right there you have to have some doubts as regards how often he is wrongSome good points/questions. First, I am just trying to confirm the talk is true. Did Mazi really lose 40 lbs or is it just Bryan Broaddus talking out his rear cavity again?
If they asked him to lower his weight to improve his quickness, then I am even more disturbed by this report because you can see his slow get off is not physical. It is a slow reaction to the snap. Mazi losing weight will just make his slow get off even more of a problem because he will get bullied before he isupright.
NOW that said I have to agree he looks smaller than he did in camp
Losing weight is a problem for some players; I think Tyron had a problem when younger
I remember that center that BP liked never could keep it on and finally got busted for using PEDs to keep his weight up (Johnson I think)
So that might be it but then there was no sign of this from everything I heard when he was at Michigan but then this is a much longer season and a lot tougher competition
Now IF the club wants him to lose weight that is a big honking red flag
