MBIII starting?

A lot of guys broke the cardinal rule, don't draft players from your favorite team...I get the feeling some of these guys drafted Barber with their first pick.

I understand all that completely, however, how is anyone going to know who will put the Boyz "behind the 8 ball"? We don't know until the game starts, right?

MBIII could do the 8 ball thing just the same as JJ could, right?

I don't think either of them is "that guy." But if people think Barber is, I can understand why they would want him out there starting things off, and Julius in as the change of pace guy. I know it doesn't feel like I see Barber going through ineffective stretches or going down easy like Julius. If you're going to tackle Marion in the backfield, you better bring it. If you want to tackle Julius in the backfield, just get close.

Could make a difference, I don't know. I'm content with what it is until we can get better.

ditto, but i wonder how jones would respond to such a happening. well thats something for wade to worry about.

I don't think any player worth his salt would take it well if he lost playing time. Barber has been a good soldier and has said the right things about this competition but there is no doubt in my mine he wants more playing time than what he has seen and I think if he is producing Phillips will give him more snaps.

I've heard the idea of starting MBIII to wear down the defense early, then insert JJ to do his thing. Now to me, that does not sound like a bad idea!!

If you drafted MBIII in the first round you're not much of a fantasy GM anyway

I would hope which ever back is showing he has the hot hand will be the guy with the most carries. I do think we will see some differance in how these 2 backs are rotated in and out of the game under Garrett and Phillips.

I think JJ gets a few more carries inside the 10 and MBIII will get more between the 20s and on first down. Maybe MBIII will even get more entire series. I do know 1 thing, MBIII will have more that 135 carries under Wade and Jason.

In the fantasy draft that I belong to I chose Brad Johnson in the first round. He's going to tear it up!!

I agree. I will not be suprised to see Barber enter games earlier than he did in the past. Now if Jones is off to a great start you ride him as long as you can but I don't think Garrett will wait as long to make changes when Jones is off to a slow start.

Same here. I was going to draft Dallas def/st but the guy two spots ahead of me snagged them. But i expect a huge year from Romo, TNT, Clayton, Witten and Fasano.........lots of weapons there. Also, with all the dump-off passes to the RBs and FBs........... lots of yards.

I just hope Jason's O isn't exactly like Norv's, or we could be in trouble. I'm not too scared though. Those teams had the best OL in football and the most productive RB of all time, so you can't blame Aikman for not being a fantasy starter.

I'm not playing any FF leagues, but I'd tab Witten as the best value if you went with any Cowboys...he's undervalued at TE, so you could probably snag that #2 WR or #3 RB while everyone else is taking TE...and he's gonna have a monster year.

Our strength is passing...I think the bulk of our running will come late in games to kill the clock, after we go up early through the air.

I have no clue how FF even works, and I'm serious! I just don't have the time or the patience to play a fantasy game...however, I do have a fantasy, I just cannot say it here...

I don't think Barber was a high 2nd rd pick. Jones has the job off potential
