Not false, I live in Wisconsin. Packer fans were confused by the call. Truman williams tripped on his own, his knee touched the ground. This is where some people get lost. This is not college, hes not down. His knee then came off the ground. Let me make sure everyone still up to speed, since his knee was off the ground the only part of his body still touching the grass was infact his toes. Thus he was still up, this is when Mcbriar reached in and hit the ball. At this moment the ball was jostled loose and came out. Fumble.

False.

He was down...the refs made the correct call for once

McBriar made contact with the helmet of the returner while the knee was on the ground.

The refs made the correct call......you guys are sounding like extremeskins conspiracy theorists.
It was easy to see this on the first replay.

And again, none of this matters anyway, as McBriar contacted the returner's forearm (and maybe his helmet) before he hit the ball
Easy call.

His knee was down but he wasnt down by contact and McBriar actually never touched him, just the ball.

I seriously doubt that. You could not tell from the camera angle but McBriar would have to be a magician to get in there and knock the ball out with out first touching him.

He was never touched down though, McBriar only touched the ball (i don't care what the call was in the end our Punter forced a fumble and it was awesome :laugh1:

unlike Felix who had the ball was touched down then had it come lose...

The call was blown. He was not touched down, and the replay clearly showed it. Add that to the blown call that ended the game when Felix Jones was down, but ruled to have fumbled and you have a case where some refs need a new line of work.

Not entirely sure of this but I think the ball is considered part of the offensive player's body. Therefore he was down by contact. I could be wrong about this though.

I want to know why they put the ball on the 23 instead of the 15.

This is what I thought, thus I felt it was a fumble and shouldn't have been overturned

I agree that he was down from McBriar touching him. However, I don't agree with the non-call for the Felix Jones recovery. He rolled completely over on the ground with the ball with a defender touching him enough to rip the ball out and somehow it's Greenbay's ball?? Then GB is bailed out by it being a non-replayable play. What???

I still don't think the Boys would have won but still... it was interesting how two similar calls happened in the same game with two different results.

so you got a flashlight and seen thru the shadows if he actually hit the player or the just the ball? shadows are not proof beyond a doubt.

Good point, I still thought it was a fumble because I thought it looked like he touched the ball before he touched McBriar and if he did touch McBriar before he touched the ball, I think McBriars knee hadn't hit the ground yet.

Regardless, IMO, the Cowboys didn't take the game over early when thet had the chance and let the game come down to plays and calls like this

Well, from what it looked like to me was that the knee was down but came back up off the turf before contact. Then you had contact, the ball came out and we recovered.

For some reason you can review THAT, but you can't review whether or not Felix was down when he clearly recovered Romo's football and was down by contact then the ball is ripped out.

This was the most over officious referees I have ever seen. They never should be allowed near a Pop Warner game again let alone an NFL game.

I still say if they would've scored a TD (Austin wide open) on that first drive, the game would've been completely different...not to mention the RW11 fumble. You can't leave points on the table like that, especially on the road against an overly aggressive opponent.
