The call we shoiuld be complaining about was the hands to the face that negated a turnover deep in GB territory. The receiver turned his head into Jenkins extended hand. Jenkins didnt initiate the contact, and it was so incidental that I'm shocked the ref even had time to see it at all.

claim was that he was touched when down although I didn't know the ball was part of him.

I thought he went to one knee on his own and then came back up before he was contacted. His knee was already up off the ground when Mcbriar made contact.

His knee was definately still on the ground when contact was made

the refs did not cost us a football game ... we cost ourselves a football game

we miss a chip shot 38 yd field goal on the 1st drive

roy williams fumbles at the green bay 30 yd line

roy williams drops a pass that probably would have gotten us down inside the green bay 30 yd line

plus we allowd them to convert several huge 3rd down plays

i felt out defense played well ... the only thing they didn't do today was take the ball away.

I think everyone is saying he was down because the announcers said so, but watching what they watched, it was to dark to overturn, so i dont know who got a flashlight in there to determine all of that, but someone did.

His knee was down but he wasnt down by contact and McBriar actually never touched him, just the ball.
his arm made contact before his hand hit the ball.

Maybe the worst reffed game I've ever seen.... If a team loses then they lose but to be beat by the refs makes me sick to my stomach...

Every game, every week there are bad calls and missed calls.

The bottom line is that Dallas could have overcome them had they played a better executed game.

I blame the loss more on dropped balls, missed tackles, and turnovers in key situations.

The ball counts as the player in that instance. The second you touch the ball when it is in the arms of a player whose knee/elbow/etc. is on the ground, the play is dead

Williams knee touched the ground then bounced up, within that time Mcbriar knocked the ball out. His knee may have touched the ground but that was on his own accord. It was an easy call, Fumble

Not false, I live in Wisconsin. Packer fans were confused by the call. Truman williams tripped on his own, his knee touched the ground. This is where some people get lost. This is not college, hes not down. His knee then came off the ground. Let me make sure everyone still up to speed, since his knee was off the ground the only part of his body still touching the grass was infact his toes. Thus he was still up, this is when Mcbriar reached in and hit the ball. At this moment the ball was jostled loose and came out. Fumble.

McBriar made contact with the helmet of the returner while the knee was on the ground.

The refs made the correct call......you guys are sounding like extremeskins conspiracy theorists.

I have no problem eating crow on this BUT... they showed slo mo replay four or five times. Neither knee looked to be all the way down when they ball BEGAN to come loose. Again, I'll be the first to eat crow. I just don't know how I could miss it on 4 replays becasue I was specifically looking at knees.

In fact if someone had said, it was because his elbow was down I would have been like, ok.... becasue my eyes were completely on the runners knees....

You don't understand my point. Yes, I know this isnt college, you have to be touched to be down. When your knee is on the ground, the ball is part of you. If you are touched, you are down. You cannot cause a fumble when a player has posession with a knee on the ground, because the minute you any part of them, including the ball, they are down.

I just watched the TIVO replay, and his knee was down when McBriar touched him. I promise

I'll say it again...

The call was correct. His knee was down when McBriar touched him. Whether or not he touched only the ball is irrelevant. The ball is part of the player in that instance.

this rule, true or not is complelty moot. He was off the ground when the ball was knocked loose. Once both of his knees were off the ground when the ball was knocked loose.

And again, none of this matters anyway, as McBriar contacted the returner's forearm (and maybe his helmet) before he hit the ball

Again, no he wasnt. I don't know how to do it, but someone needs to make a screenshot of this, because he clearly has one knee down when mcbriar contacts him
