Holding my nose, I just watched Mike Fishers podcast from this morning....he thinks that the so called "meeting" with the conman at weeks end could just be a show, and that Booger does NOT want to fire him.....we are screwed folks....write off next year....a if he extends Dork, write off the next 4 to 5 years....oh, and have a great day!!! :muttley:
The best we can expect is no extensions. Jerry does not like paying coaches or players to not be with the Cowboys.

There is zero evidence to suggest he's making a coaching change. We'll get a new DC and that will be what Jerry sells as the missing piece.
I would let Quinn go. He don’t like big bodies in the middle. What the heck was he doing with Mazi dropping a bunch of weight. You need run stuffers. If he stays we will be ran on all next year. Either bring me a solid 4-3 or a heavy in the middle 3-4..

Do you think if Shotty stays he would do better at play calling and throwing in some fresh wrinkles like motion.

And take clock management away from MM.

There that should about do it with a solid draft. That we pick low in. lol.

Trading for Lance without consulting anyone suggests you're dead wrong on Jerry being all in on Dak.
so you think Dak will not be renewed ? that would be great if true.
the cowboys owe him 60 million next season regardless.

The issue with this franchise for the last few decades is that they are trying to win the Super Bowl with a cheat code. Talent is plentiful like many that have won the Super Bowl since 1996. In some cases (like this year) you could argue they have more than other past champions. However, the common denominator that is missing is discipline. The owner does not have it, so why would the coach, let alone the players? The most successful coaches have been Landry, Johnson and Parcells.

The were not toying with leading the league in penalties, or being in the media to hype their greatness. They were at work, focused on winning championships. Guess what that did? It trickled down to the players. That, and they sought out players whose main focus was winning a Super Bowl. Like Troy and the gang would say. Money and fame will not be a problem when we win a championship. That’s the priority, that will come with success.

Parcells didn’t stick around when the circus came to town with Owens. That was the beginning of the end. They were trending towards getting over the hump more than they ever did with Uncle Wade, Garrett or MM. Why? Those dudes are here to win, but not at the expense of pissing off their player friends. They’d rather be a buddy than a coach first. So you’d get undisciplined talent trying to Switzer their way to winning it all.

The only modern coach who has been able to balance friend and foe mentality is Reid. It helps to have an MVP qb bail you out from Commercials and Taylor Swift distractions. We don’t have that type of player here. As much as we want to say we do There is one more difference with Mahomes and Reid. That goofing around bit works when you’ve won it all, or been to the big game.

We haven’t even been sixth runner up in the beauty contest. Yet, we are going around waving like we have won Miss America because we got to the pagent. The mentality has to change. 9 All Pros is not enough to overcome the full commitment and focus needed to be a champion. Until even the owner sees it, and leads by example we will back here for another decade plus falling short after another early exit.
.
Outstanding, Outstanding post Sir !!!

Him being renewed has no bearing on what I said.

In the end I do, but it's not what I advocate for.

McCarthy is coming back. Quinn leaving allows Jerry to bring in his own defensive coaches and new guys to the room which is enough “change” to sell hope when he combines it with the fact that “dak had his best regular season and play in years under Mike”

He’s gonna give McCarthy the garrett treatment and have him coach as a lame duck coach.

I know everyone is anxious.

But have patience. Good things are going to happen.
Why are you so optimistic?
Good things have not happened here in 28 years.
I have learned to expect the worst with this team and have rarely been disappointed.

here is how the meeting will go; Hey Mike, how ya doing? Great Jer, and you? Well...shucks..I been better. Yeah, me too....hey, Have you heard anything from Dan? Shucks, no...but thats ok, I have the perfect DC lined up for you if he leaves. Oh wow...TY Jer! Who is it? Well, thats not important right now. Ok, that works for me. Hey, when are we going to Whataburger with the family? Shucks, I will let ya know. See you at Camp Miiikkke. Mike will do and say anything unless he decides to retire, he aint leaving here. Unless Jerry Retires him. He could offer him a "retirement" package." Then it would be all luv and hugs at the presser. I think wildcat Jerry passed away in the mid 2000's.

You honestly think he's going to let MM go? Three straight playoff appearances and the perfect yes man for the country club.

Dak is his golden child and will never admit his mistakes. Grave yard robbery

If somehow a miracle does happen it's going to be like someone else said "mutual agreement"

Sweet, we are in a rare position where we could either get Bellichick, Tomlin, Harbaugh or even Pete Carroll but we won't get any of them because we get to ride the McCarthy train another year because that's Jerry's buddy. No wonder this team is perpetually mediocre.
