Kellen such a meanie, asking Zeke to run when defenders with helmets and pads might hurt him.

Maybe he does need a long rest. Come back to play when he'll be 29. That should work.
It worked for John Riggins.. and the defenses he faced after his year away (or was it two?) were a damn sight tougher than the ones Zeke would face coming back today. Frankly I'm just mad that this franchised has wasted yet another great player. That ledger is really starting to fill up.

Why? He's a detriment to our team. Any time he touches the ball, it is a wasted play. There is NO upside here.
Zeke is still a very good short yardage back and he is still a very good pass protector as well.

Short yardage/goalline/pass pro..............that is what Zeke can still do relatively well.

For vet min, I would consider bringing him back just for these roles.

If he wants anything more than vet min, sorry, cant do it.

He only had a great line for one year. He remained productive because if his greatness. Give zeke a better left guard abd watch what he does.

No doubt his body needs a break from the pounding it has taken in the Kellen Moore offense. All those plunges into the teeth of the defense coupled with having to be the 6th offensive lineman in pass pro have beaten him up. A full year of not doing that might do wonders for him. He might be better served to take the entire season off and come back in '24 fully rested and healed up. But of course no competitor wants to miss games..
Does look like he could use a year of rest.

The door is always open because Zeke is still unemployed……….for good reason.

The Dak Experiment did that. . .

Ronnie weren't you one of Zeke's biggest critics? . . . Weren't you one of those who blamed alot if Dak's struggles on Zeke

Agreed. They didn't even give him a choice at taking a pay cut. they just cut him.
Just as ex-Cowboys great players like Witten, Romo, Dez, DWare, Larry Allen, ..even Emmitt. .. it's not new to move on from declining players.

We've mysteriously held on to declining players that were not even great (ala Tyrone Crawford)

I wouldn't mind the move but it won't be made until after the draft. Well, it shouldn't be made until after the draft.

After the draft, if Dallas doesn't get a complementary or primary back...sign him for a lowball 1-year contract. Why not?

It's time to churn the RBs, not go back to having Zeke occupy a percentage of the carries. Labeling him a 'short yardage back' is comical though. Gotta get 'fresh' RBs who could do that plus a whole lot more. That RB room and the committee should look very different and the team will be better for it. Zeke's way overhyped by the ownership here and that affects everything they do on offense. Hard to believe people want to go back to that?!

Hes already been paid handsomely for it. Might as well.

We need fresh legs at RB.
Zeke been injured. You know that.
Pass an aggressive physical , bring him back dirt cheap.
Fix the o line and run a real nfc east offense. Stop making pollard "showcase his speed to the edge" instead of chewing real yards up the field.

Nope.. I’d rather have fresh legs then a washed up RB.

Time in in all of the combine stats...40 dash, 3 cone, 10 yard split, etc.

If he can get back to close of what he was, chaep contract...then just maybe. Doubt that he could tho.
