yeah but the problem is mike and the jones boys probably do want him back at the price they offered.
elliot could still be back if no other team offers him a deal he likes.
There is definitely no rush, only so many roster spots, and keeping Zeke on the rolodex is probably in our best interest.

When Ron Jones signed, the door closed. If Zeke wanted to be here, he’d be here. They clearly offered him a package to be the back-up and he refused it.
No package was offered. They agreed it was best to be released.

Nope.. I’d rather have fresh legs then a washed up RB.
So you rather have one fresh leg and one broken leg RB? Because the RB's they signed otherwise are not the answer as well.
They need to draft a RB, and keep broken leg in his same role, if he recovers.
Once Pollard gets injured again, Zeke will return. I won't blame Zeke for sitting out until some team needs a RB. He can afford to take his time.

Until then he can keep in shape in Cabo, with what was Jerry's money.....:muttley:

22 1-yard TD runs.

Alright...calm down, people. I'm kidding.
Many were more than 1 yard runs. But a TD is a TD. How many of those 1 yard TD's or inside the 5 did Emmitt have?
But stick to your wrong narrative.

I didnt do sheet. Just for the record...stop your fantasy lying.

And we arent better off...yet another fantasy lie since we havent played one down.

How you guys can so easily lie to yourselves to soothe your fragile ego is unbelieavable.....but dont expect me to buy it.

If zeke flames out..
Ok. Hasnt done it yet tough guy. We will see

...
Whats wrong with keeping Zeke on Rolodex status.
Injuries happen.

Some Cowboys perhaps, but not this Cowboy. Zeke was a great RB at one time but that time has passed.
It's time for some new talent.
Yep, with this draft, we have to say thanks but no.
He's been a great stalwart, but he got more than fair financial remuneration and him being on the roster (as in the second half of the 9er's game), is actually detrimental as defenses don't fear him and flood the secondary.

Dallas is going to draft a RB and he will be better than Zeke.

Zeke is washed. It’s over. He may have a good game a couple times a year but the slow plodding ain’t worth it.

I believe we have to look at this from a coach/front office perspective. Leaving the door open does not mean we will resign Zeke or that he will want to resign. All it is, is waiting until after the draft to see what is needed going into mini camps and training camp.

Yes, we probably draft a RB in the draft, but it is no guarantee. With what they have done so far this off season should, and I emphasis on should, be able to literally draft the best available player at any position they want. That may or may not be a running back.

Seems like most fans want Robinson RB Texas in the 1st if he is there and I don't disagree although if he does make it to #26 and if a team say Buffalo who drafts #27 was willing to give up a 3rd to move one spot, betting Dallas takes that deal. Or Miami offering #51 and #84 and 3rd in 2024 for #26, thinking they very well would take it.

This draft, if we believe the experts and GMs, is only a so-so draft. Lots of good players that could be starters or great backups but from elite point only 10 to 12 players. Is Robinson in that group, IMO yes so I don't expect him to fall any further than #19 with the Bucs and probably goes higher.

It is just to say, IMO Dallas will be moving around this draft especially if there is a guy that they believe could be a 10 year starter for them. Would be great to see McClay's board and maybe some of it will get leaked but not expecting it. Once we get who Dallas is bringing in for their 30 visits, then we will have a good idea of what they are looking and so far haven't seen but one or two names on that list.

yeah I think they wanted him to hit the market, and face what he is facing now, and then later they can offer him a low deal,
and he will be glad, not mad.

Making 1 yard TD runs can easily be replaced by any number of draftable RBs.
Well, let's say you're right.

But the team has needs in several other positions, why use a draft pick on someone to make "1 yard tds" when you could just re-sign Zeke?

Save the draft picks for a guard, tackle, receiver, safety or some other position. Understanding that nobody is saying keep Zeke around for another 5-8 years, we're talking short term...
