Lee is giving Dak props. OMgosh, what is the world coming to?
I'm a Cowboys fan. If a player actually helps the team, I like it.
The jury is still out, but it does seem that Dak has shown improvement. But if he chokes away the season again, he has to go.

Blaming the media for his mistakes lol?
Not exactly. His exact words were:

However, he came in under Garrett, and learned how to let the media blame others for his failures instead of leading.
In other words, Prescott outwitted the media by not 'accepting blame for unspecified failures' during press conferences, etc. In doing so, he befuddled their logical thought processes and reported the 'unspecified non-failures' to the public.

Remember, the media did not quote Prescott for the public to decipher and come to their own conclusions for what he said. Instead, the media was telepathically manipulated by Prescott into not using his unspoken confessions of failure.

See? Insidious, isn't it?

Not sure I understand what you're getting at? Are you saying that the Jets weren't a tough test defensively? IMO that is one of the tougher units the Cowboys will face this year and Dak and the offense delivered about as good of a performance as you could have hoped for.
The Jets were clearly a tough test, I agree.

I put it in quotes because the OP said Dak hasn't faced a tough test yet.

All it is is simplifying the game and playing to his strengths. And taking away some of his choices.

That is all Dak needed.

The Jets were playing without a quarterback.
That's hardly a "tough" test.
Their defense couldn't hold up for an entire game playing by themselves. Neither can ours.

The one thing the Cowboys have needed is for Dak to be a true leader at the quarterback position. However, he came in under Garrett, and learned how to let the media blame others for his failures instead of leading.
With the West Coast offense, McCarthy's staple, it may well be that Dak has hit a reset, and the rigors of learning an entirely new scheme under a Coach that truly understands leadership has given us a brand new Dak.
We won't know until he actually faces a tough test, but for now it would be unfair not to give him credit for what looks like an improvement. From calling plays in the preseason, to Mike McCarthy demanding accountability, it is entirely possible that Dak is not the same quarterback from years past.
Let's hope for the best.
Oh no  I didn’t expect your next post until we lost or Dak had a bad game.

He's the reason the Cowboys go home early every year, and the reason some of the most talented rosters in the NFL get wasted.
I am hoping he has finally started to grasp his responsibilities and this won't happen again.
Wrong but you’re entitled to your opinion.

BS. The fact is only the hatred you have for the Cowboys and Dak. We all get that. Your not fooling anyone except yourself.
I hate what the Cowboys have been turned into, yes. I hate that Dak was coddled and allowed to keep the Jason Garrett era alive as long as he has, yes.
But if he has finally learned and can help the Cowboys instead of hurting them, I will support him.
But to deny that he has been the main reason that the Cowboys have wasted the past 4-7 years is naive, and you're not a fan of the Cowboys if you deny the facts simply to protect a player.

I call it as I see it, and that's not popular here. Dak does seem to have taken a step in the right direction. We can't know for sure yet, but if he can become the quarterback he's paid to be and help the Cowboys, I am all for him.
If we find out he can't, he has to finally be released.
But for the first time since he's been here, I have a small hope that he might not choke and once again ruin the Cowboys season.
We'll see.
