McCarthy finally showing his value by training Dak?

Won't really know until the season is over. He's always been streaky. Will play at MVP levels for a few games then **** the bed for a couple weeks.

Giants and Arizona terrible teams so not much goes into the performance. Jets was a great look though. See how the season progresses when we get tougher teams and see how we do wants teams make adjustments

The one thing the Cowboys have needed is for Dak to be a true leader at the quarterback position. However, he came in under Garrett, and learned how to let the media blame others for his failures instead of leading.
With the West Coast offense, McCarthy's staple, it may well be that Dak has hit a reset, and the rigors of learning an entirely new scheme under a Coach that truly understands leadership has given us a brand new Dak.
We won't know until he actually faces a tough test, but for now it would be unfair not to give him credit for what looks like an improvement. From calling plays in the preseason, to Mike McCarthy demanding accountability, it is entirely possible that Dak is not the same quarterback from years past.
Let's hope for the best.
Things that I've noticed in offensive philosophy.

1. Not a lot of jibber jabbrish at the line pre snap.
2. Not a lot of audibling.
3. Fast, in and out of the huddle.
4. Short passes, not just 2 yard outs.
5. Tons of pick plays - Lamb stayed open.
6. Lots of runs.

Those are just at the top of my head.

Giants have a pretty good defense and the Jets have a top 3 defense. Dak played well in both games. The offense played well in both games by not turning the ball over. Not every drive or every play will be perfect. I’ve been critical of Dak the last 3 years but this season I am having a hard time finding ways to criticize him. He’s played well against good teams. He’s played complimentary football. I don’t see any point in complaining about Dak, or any player, until he gives us a reason too. We’re 2-0 and have outscored our opponents 70-10. Not seeing a problem here. Mike McCarthy is bringing the best out if Dak and our offense. I’ve never been a fan of Big Mike but this season feels different and Big Mike is a big part of that. Things are going well, let’s enjoy the good times and argue during the bad times. No sense in arguing when you’re undefeated.

Yep; that's the way we've had to watch the games for the last seven years with Dak at quarterback. Especially big games.
I sure haven't...and glad the history has been put behind as to top shelf confrontation coming down the pike now.

I'm saying it would have been a much tougher game if Rodgers had played.
It was a great win, but it's naive to think that the Cowboys didn't have an advantage because Rodgers was out.
That's accurate!!

But if Micah Parsons is the next LT, it won't matter which QB we play..

Jets defense was a tough test imo. The difference is he wasn’t pressured enough to score tds instead of field goals because of the dominant performance by the defense
They need to fix the red zone production, but it's a new offense and they are showing that they can be efficient. I'd like to see them spread the field a bit more for those power runs. I just don't see much success piling everyone into a small space at the goal line working very often.

If he becomes the quarterback he is supposed to be, I'm all for it.
But if he is still the choking waste of money that continues to cost the Cowboys he should be gone.
No more years and talent can be wasted because of him.
Regardless of what you think. Can you not accept that even getting an avg. QB isn’t easy and could very likely become more waisted talent years?

Check around the league at the failed top picks. Your reasoning and QB plan is off.

It's like Mike got tired of all the nonsense that used to go on.
  • Plays coming in late
  • QB taking forever to make calls and adjustments
Plays come in fast, and the QB runs the plays.

Years before:The Cowboys 'focus was Dak
This year: the focus is the team and Dak just one player (great defense will allow you to do so)

Prescott has always been a great leader...Former Cowboy greats (Troy) have said it, current teammates (Micah) have said it, but somehow Dak Haters create this False Narrative below vvvvv:lmao2: :espn: :lmao2:

Outright Lie!!! Your Dak Hate clouds your judgement or like most Dak Haters you have No Clue of what leadership at the QB position in this Era looks like.....

Prescott DID NOT learn "an entirely new scheme" ......2 Lies in one Post.

Where do you get your information? I highly suggest New Media because your interpretation of the Cowboys has been pathetic....based on 2-0 start:muttley:

The Cowboys faced the Jets Defense that made a "Top 5 QB" Josh Allen look like Quincy Carter after a bye week.... Dak Haters always move the Goalpost....:starspin:

Based on your interpretations.... it's clear you were not around when the Cowboys were building a Superbowl Team in the 90s... Novre Turner did for Troy Aikman exactly what McCarthy is trying to do with Prescott.....

Try interpretating the Cowboys without wishing Prescott is Gone :lmao::lmao2:
You are old enough to have witnessed the 90s? . . . Wow so sad

When I was 9 I called my grandfather "old". He said, "If you live long enough it'll happen to you."

You obviously...don't get it - YET.

Dak's issues are not his character, that's for sure. He DOES have issues, but character and leadership are above reproach at this point. People just make stuff up.
