Couple of thoughts, and that and a $5 bill will get you a small coffee at Starbucks...

1. One can look at Mike's history and detect that he might have a personal preference to stick with the same OC for three years, and then go a new direction there.

2. When he does go a new direction, he's typically chosen to elevate someone already on staff.

Make it three...

3. Whether it's for OC or something else, seems a good bet that Ben McAdoo might be welcomed back to Frisco.

I'm not making excuses, but could it also be possible that teams have a pretty good bead on our offense, making it harder for the QB?

Again, not making excuses for Dak who deserves the criticism. Just saying--predictability from either our OC or QB is very bad
Predictabilty paired with "what the hell was that?"

IMO what Big Mac’s statement means:

They clearly do NOT want KM back. If they wanted him back they would have already said so. But they also don’t want to destroy Moore’s chances at landing somewhere else quickly. It’s showing him some professional courtesy.

Again, I could be wrong but the delay is probably the Cowboys looking into what’s out there and deciding who they want to go after. Coupled with letting Kellen Moore have some time to look without him doing so while “fired”.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't GB win the SB when Fat Mike started calling the plays?

If KM goes just think about Dak learning a new O when he still has trouble with the one he’s run for 7 years, should be fun
A guy being paid ~$40m APY should be able to adapt to any new system thrown at them. If Dak can't, even the Jones boys couldn't overlook it, could they?

If Moore stays then there is really little hope anything changes significantly. And indicates Jerry has screwed the franchise again.
If Moore stays the OC and Dak stays as the QB, what the hell is going to be any different next year?

We got the same QB, the same OC, the same playbook, so why should we expect anything different on offense next year?

Yeah, lets keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

This makes sense to me. Giving Kellen time get hired elsewhere so he doesn't have the 'stink' of being fired

I think after two years McCarthy knows that kellen struggles against better opponents and in critical situations of games. Moore's game management is awful. even against inferior opponents.
I think McCarthy wants to move on, but Jerry's ego is in the way and he has to manage that. and McCarthy may not have many options right now.
