McCarthy is still evaluating whether there will be a change at OC

After publicly stating that Moore is being evaluated, how do you bring him back? And would he want to come back? When Quinn announced he was returning cowboy nation was elated. And I never hear the offensive player do a lot of talking up Moore, with Quinn we know his players love playing for him because he makes them better...

This is a garbage stereotype that follows black QBs and needs to be stopped. Dak scored well on the wonderlic, which is how the league measures intelligence, has a master's degree, and has shown no signs that he can't pick up a new offense.

Decision making is Daks number one issue and that does not mean he's dumb.
Just because Dak has a reasonably high intelligence does not mean that Dak has a high football IQ or the mental processing speed to make decisions with the football in his hands at game speed.

Why would Kellen Moore want to come back to Dallas if he is now being publically called out and told his job security will need to be reviewed when he is under contract?
What a classless, pathetic organization.

Funny how so many called out Micah Parsons for calling out Dak and how he shouldn;t air dirt laundry yet here McCarthy is doing the same thing.

For sure, I know. I'm just saying people keep questioning Daks intelligence, when there's never been a question about that.

Dude is smart enough for the spot, but gets skittish, makes poor decisions, and is indecisive. I'd say that speaks to lack of confidence more than anything
We have an anxiety crippled 40 million dollar QB. Awesome.

Questioning his 'football intelligence' is different than simply saying 'is he too stupid?'

It’s a kinder way to say the same thing. Just because someone says something in a direct, harsh way does not imply hate or malice.

I think a lot of people are REALLY souring on Dak but don’t have any hate or malice towards him personally.

I think teams have coddled QBs by not bringing in competition to keep from causing them anxiety or stress from the competition. They guise it as minimizing locker room division. I view it as an extension of the “participation trophy” generation.

Competition, by its very nature creates anxiety, with two people competing for the same thing. Real competition is like steel sharpening steel.

A team is better off finding out what a player has in training camp than watching them wilt when the game gets difficult. I don’t think that it’s random that Dak suddenly starts playing better often when the game is out of reach (losing). The pressure is off of him at that point and he loosens up and actually plays better at times.

No, it's different. Questioning his intelligence is wholly different from his intelligence as it applies to the sport.

I've soured on Dak too. But I firmly believe his problem has nothing to do with his brain; it's intangibles. He is not making the right decisions, and is often slow to make a decision. He is fully capable of doing it, he doesn't do it consistently. That tells me it's a personal problem, rather than something he simply lacks (which would be intelligence)

It is his brain which is fine ... every person wired differently do we have to have an all star team around him just to make it work ?
it is crazy that the Jones still thinking it can work.......it won't ever

Exactly.
Part of the reason McCarthy got fired in GB. "Offense had gotten stale."
That sure sounds familiar.
Maybe he will go to the barn and watch every play, study the analytics, reinvent himself , this is what he will tell Jerry that and he will be more involved in the offense .

Just what I was going to say. Anything short of “he’s coming back” is a vote of no confidence. And if it’s come to that point, just move on.

I just hope Jerry isn’t campaigning behind the scenes for McCarthy to keep him around.

But then again he's already said all these exact things you mention here at his hiring sleepover and again last offseason. lol

Oh well, Jerry's comfortable with him and the team meets Jerry's expectation of regular season relevance.

Ultimately, I'm doubtful of Jerry's second stepchild Kellen being given the boot at the expense of McCheese, but this story still seems to be evolving.
