McCarthy: I've never seen anything like this

Remember when the DC.com Zimmer fanboys..ie the talking heads, touted this hire as a great get? Lol...what about the YT content creators that proclaimed this hire as EXACTLY what we needed? What a farce. The man was out of the NFL for like 2 years or more and we were sold that he was the missing piece on defense. Many took the bait. I smelled a rat when I saw he was only signed to a one year deal. That didn't exactly make me have sb vibes. Now we know.

I agree that he's not some transcendent coach and wasn't going to make everything perfect, but how can you blame him when he has such poor talent, especially up front? This DL is one of the worst I've ever seen when Micah is out. And we miss Bland terribly also. This "Seat Belt" guy is awful.

The whole thing was set up by Jerry over the offseason when we lost all those players and Jerry didn't even try to replace them. Then you get a few injuries and the talent on the field is a disaster.

We needed a young DC that could grow with the defense, and maybe reach the players. Zimmers messaging isn't getting thru. Not his fault in that sense. Just that he's a bad fit for this team.

I do agree in part

Not really shocking that a guy like Zeke who has clearly checked out fumbled on the goal line
 you lost me

fumbles happen all the time.....I agree it was a tough fumble but career-wise Zeke has never had fumbling issues.

He averages 281 over 9 years with three fumbles per year. I am not making excuses for his play but he's not a fumbler.

Never seen anything like what? 5 turnovers? Stop your nonsense.

Funny, didn't Goff throw FIVE picks last night and Detroit still won?!? Good teams overcome adversity. Bad teams quit mid-game. The Cowboys are a BAD team.
Dak would get down to the red zone and would throw for number 6

McCarthy is gone after this season, but the root of dysfunction is the owners, not the coaches. They established the culture, kneecapped their coaches, etc. because of Jerry's monstrous ego.

Jerry is descending into a late Al Davis stage and it's going to get worse. At some point the family is going to have to take the reins completely away from him as it is obvious he is not handling it very well publicly and seems to have lost his patience and decision making ability.

Never seen anything like it? Hmmm sure Mike. It all started with the GB playoff loss. Every single home game from that day on has been a complete disaster. You have seen this plenty of times now and nothing changes.

lol

the coach and team that didnt even show up for a play off game is shock they cant take care of the ball and play stupid

i love it keep it up

eat it jerry

As of yesterday, in the history of the NFL, there has been 58 games where one team gave up 5, or more, turnovers.

The team giving the ball away 5 or more times have won 8 times.

The winning percentage is .160.

The last time Dallas had 5 turnovers and won Romo beat Buffalo.

Quit, McCarthy.

Send a message to the league and Jerry about the culture in Dallas.
Nah... not for the sake of sacrificing his possible last paycheck, last portion of it at least. Everyone already sees the dysfunction so he still wants that last bit of remaining money owed for sure cause he won't know where his next gig will be.

Great post. When injuries happen, or a team comes out flat, good teams find a way to win, or minimally be competitive. When that happens to a Jerry Jones team, it overwhelmingly ends in utter collapse and often on the biggest stage.

I think his point is that since Zeke has checked out, in his opinion, that it isn’t shocking he’s not prioritizing protecting the ball. It does have logic behind it since “checking out”’would entail a lack preparedness and attention to detail. The question revolves around whether or not Zeke checking out is true.

That would be stupid on his part. He has about $2 -$3 million more of Jerry’s money coming to him. If he quits he forfeits the money. If I were him I would stay and just keep throwing the GM under the bus for not providing me with the talent in 2024 to get the job done. I would have Jerry fuming so badly he would be forced to fire me so I kept my money

yeah that kinda underscores his point
