RELEASED McCarthy out as Cowboys coach

You can automatically remove any coach considered as a hot candidate. Start there. Then you can start pinpointing coaches desperate enough to work for cheap. Finally, who is willing to be told who their coordinators will be? There’s your next HC of the Dallas Cowboys.
This is fiction.

A Ben Johnson(who is currently a hot HC candidate) probably makes about 3 million per year. The next HC of the Cowboys probably makes in the neighborhood of 10 million per. Usually new HCs inherit a bad roster. The Cowboys roster is at least a wild card competent roster with several pro bowlers and at least two future HOFers.

This job is very desirable. Now, will JJ pick a top candidate? Probably not.

Ben Johnson and all of a sudden this team is interesting again....please please please no Kellen Moore.
That's a toss up. He's either some great innovator or a product of Dan Campbell's culture change

Rusty Jones needs a lesson, it will be very difficult for a good coach to want to come to the Cowboys while rusty Jones continues to want to have all the control, if MM does not return it would be a blow to the players' morale and a forced reconstruction, they will have to give the job to the first person who wants it, and most likely it will not be someone very capable, the team is going to be in a drought of several years because of rusty Jones' ego, it is the smartest decision MM could make, being in Dallas is detrimental to his career.

No coach is going to sign for anything less than 3 years, unless there's a big payout invovled. Most owners accept that as the cost of doing business. As much guff as McCarthy catches, some of it warranted, no coach with an ounce of pride and any other option is going to coach for the Joneses right now. Low pay, terrible environment, and if the clownshow gets its way, very little future guaranteed $. Where else does a coach have to stop his weekly routine, and meet with the owners for their approval of the gameplan? Where else does the owner come into the locker room after every game to give you his state of the franchise speech?

Fact is, until Jerry & Stephen get a huge dose of humility, we're only going to get coaches who don't have any other option. The only time the old fool and his son went off-script, it was because they needed stadium financing.
From what I have seen/heard in the past the standard contract length for newly hired NFL Head Coach .......it gives the head coach a little flex if changes are needed.

** Head Coaches .....5 years
** Coordinators ........3 years
** Assistant coaches 2 years

Funny thing is that there are a lot of quality young coaching prospects out there right now and we probably won't interview one of them.

This is actually a great time to reinvent this team and we will fumble that opportunity completely for the sake of familiarity and subservience to the lord and master Jerry Jones and his incompetent son.

Will the new guy have to punch a time clock?

Wait, do we still use a time clock? Install a micro chi?

I'm suprised. It doesn't matter who the hc is but at least it'll be someone different I guess.

This hurts your soul, if you long for Dallas to return to the top. The old fool spouting that he's in charge, vs. Commander ownership showing why they've turned around so fast.

Magic & Harris - "Talent, culture, people." "Hire the right people and get out of their way."

Jerry - "Since I decide where the money's spent, I might as well cut out all the bs (actual GM and director of football operations)."

This one tweet should effectively gut any remaining hope any fan has vested in the Cowboys.

Dude is gonna take Trey Lance with him and win a super bowl next year.
Well I hope the former is true, don’t have to worry about the latter haha

P.s. this was really a joke cuz I don’t hate the guy and I don’t think our problems are all him obviously. Jerry plays a huge role in that, much bigger than Mike’s. Just don’t like mikes play calling and I think it is time to move on
