I think Jerry wanted him gone. Why else lowball him with short contracts if he was so all in on him? If he wanted him gone, which his actions prove, then it was a phallus move to block the interview and possibly prevent the coach from getting a job he wanted somewhere else.

Not that I care about retaining McCarthy. No coach will thrive in the post-season under Jerry. But I call it like it is. A pissed off narcissistic old man was mad that his coach wouldn't take his lowballing and threw a tantrum to block an interview request. Jerry is poison for the Cowboys.

3 straight 12-5 seasons. We had some semblance of stability. He wasn't that bad as a coach. Dak was more of a problem, and of course Jerry Jones has been a curse to this franchise for 30 years.
