It's been a good camp. Now they need to get lucky and have no more serious injuries.

Last year it was planter fasciitis with Schoonmaker during camp. It was reported he suffered a hamstring injury a few weeks ago and now he has a groin injury? He appears to be injury prone. I heard Broaddus comment that he didn’t think Schoonmaker’s roster spot was a lock.

That is the luck that they need. If they get that good luck going in to the start of the season, they will get off to a good start. This has been a good camp. They are looking good. Strong at linebacker and the rookie class looks great.

It’s been one injury after another with him so I wouldn’t put money on it. I can’t imagine him being released after only one season but he’s been a real disappointment.

I never said Schoonmaker was going anywhere. Just providing what Broaddus said. The injuries certainly aren’t helping Schoonmaker. It’s going to be difficult for him to overtake anyone if he’s always time dealing with an injury.

So far I've not seen anything of him to suggest he's worth a roster spot, especially if he cannot stay healthy.

The only thing that’s probably keeping him on the roster is his second round draft status.
