Really it’s the red zone offense…it’s bad and just not on the same page as where the game is

B b but Kellen Moore

But im not ready to crap on McCarthy. Its only so much u can do with a bad QB
He had an elite QB in Rodgers and underachieved to the point he eventually gave up playcalling in GB.

Again, this is not to excuse Dak but it's kind of laughable that people think Dak is holding McCarthy's brilliance back. LOL.

LOL.

I guess we found a McCarthy fan. You realize McCarthy had one of the greatest QBs of our generation and underachieved as an OC, right? That's not to excuse Dak but anyone thinking Dak is holding McCarthy back is being silly.
Put Rodgers on this team and we don't lose the game. Problem is his QB is so damn limited it don't matter what the play call is. I'll take someone who has won it all over defending Dak any day of the week.

I think he’s doing a great job as OC.

Less Dak is better because Dak’s just not that guy.

The turning down of the 3 points was absolutely foolish though.

Unfortunately what we are seeing is the anti-Dak crowd just failing to acknowledge what's painfully obvious. They want to believe Dak is the only problem.

We'll learn this lesson painfully. We could replace Dak and nothing will change. McCarthy is just not a very good OC.

There is ZERO CHANCE THIS IS A WCO

there's not one crossing route being run. It's tge exact same route tree as kellen ran.

Really everyone?

You won't find a post from me praising his playcalling.
Well, maybe not everyone but most fans were liking what they saw after the first two games. There was a lot of praise for McCarthy and his playcalling as fans were living in the moment.

Well McCarthy had enough skill as a playcaller before to win a Superbowl. So I can't agree with you there.
You say this like it's impressive but he had an elite QB that covered up his warts. Also note, that he never got close to a SB win again despite having Rodgers and it got so bad that he eventually gave up play calling.

He's a mediocre OC. And pair him with a mediocre QB? You get blah offense. If this defense isn't creating turnovers and great field position and suffocating opposing offenses, this isn't an offense that can go toe to toe with someone. They just can't.

I’m sorry but there is only ONE reason when you are down 2 TDs and you run on 70% of your snaps….you don’t trust your QB. When the game is on the line, you had more faith in 3 backup linemen pushing for your RB than you did for your QB.

How do I even process that?

There were several saying that he needs to prove he can open it up and air it out, which in games where we're behind and the defense isn't doing its job, it lays on the offense. His offense was great for the Jets where we never got behind. It wasn't great for the Cardinals where we got behind immediately

LOL, just wanted to get your attention. Yeah, he's kind of the problem but there is another big issue here.

McCarthy stinks as an OC. His play calling is at times peculiar, bland, abysmal and perplexing. The RZ play calls range anywhere from bizarre to just stupid.

I went back during the game and watched a handful of plays and the number of plays we run where all our receivers run like 5 yard curls and digs at the same time is mindnumbing. Now when you add that to the fact Dak also likes to dink and dunk when uncomfortable, you get a mindnumbling bad offense. A buddy who is a coach (granted at a much lower level than the NFL) pointed out during the game how bland and vanilla we are inside the 20. We have no rub routes, no crossing routes designed to create some confusion/congestion. We don't scheme guys open like a lot of teams do. We are predicated largely on the defense making a mistake or a receiver making a contested catch.

Remember, McCarthy had arguably one of the greatest QBs of all time in Rodgers and underachieved as the OC. To the point, I believe, he gave up playcalling.

To think he's not a problem here and just rant about Dak or the WRs or the OL or whatever is stupid. Downright stupid. McCarthy is a major, major problem.
the offense inside the redzone was bad. really bad. I think missing 3 OL men really hurt the team today.
