Easy. We have a mediocre QB who is now paired with a mediocre OC.I’m sorry but there is only ONE reason when you are down 2 TDs and you run on 70% of your snaps….you don’t trust your QB. When the game is on the line, you had more faith in 3 backup linemen pushing for your RB than you did for your QB.
How do I even process that?
The same McCarthy that only won superbowl with arguably the GOAT qb or slightly behind Brady?Put Rodgers on this team and we don't lose the game. Problem is his QB is so damn limited it don't matter what the play call is. I'll take someone who has won it all over defending Dak any day of the week.
I was one of those who said he needs to open it up. We’ll struggle to overcome multi score deficits with this offense. We need to become more explosive and have quick strike ability. We found out today we can’t depend on our defense to win games every week. There were several saying that he needs to prove he can open it up and air it out, which in games where we're behind and the defense isn't doing its job, it lays on the offense. His offense was great for the Jets where we never got behind. It wasn't great for the Cardinals where we got behind immediately
Meh, Rodgers hasn't shown he could get it done without MM either right? Rodgers has all the arm talent in the world, but I've watched him choke in the biggest moments. The same McCarthy that only won superbowl with arguably the GOAT qb or slightly behind Brady?
Just wait all the excuses are coming.LOL, just wanted to get your attention. Yeah, he's kind of the problem but there is another big issue here.
McCarthy stinks as an OC. His play calling is at times peculiar, bland, abysmal and perplexing. The RZ play calls range anywhere from bizarre to just stupid.
I went back during the game and watched a handful of plays and the number of plays we run where all our receivers run like 5 yard curls and digs at the same time is mindnumbing. Now when you add that to the fact Dak also likes to dink and dunk when uncomfortable, you get a mindnumbling bad offense. A buddy who is a coach (granted at a much lower level than the NFL) pointed out during the game how bland and vanilla we are inside the 20. We have no rub routes, no crossing routes designed to create some confusion/congestion. We don't scheme guys open like a lot of teams do. We are predicated largely on the defense making a mistake or a receiver making a contested catch.
Remember, McCarthy had arguably one of the greatest QBs of all time in Rodgers and underachieved as the OC. To the point, I believe, he gave up playcalling.
To think he's not a problem here and just rant about Dak or the WRs or the OL or whatever is stupid. Downright stupid. McCarthy is a major, major problem.
I think Dak has a bad last 5 minutes but this games was marred by penalties and a defense that was absentUnfortunately what we are seeing is the anti-Dak crowd just failing to acknowledge what's painfully obvious. They want to believe Dak is the only problem.
We'll learn this lesson painfully. We could replace Dak and nothing will change. McCarthy is just not a very good OC.
McCarthy had Rodgers in his prime. These other coaches did not. But in fairness, LaFleur went to back to back NFCCGs with Rodgers and he was a first time NFL head coach.Meh, Rodgers hasn't shown he could get it done without MM either right? It is an excuse. We had 416 yards with 3 backups on the OL.He had an elite QB in Rodgers and underachieved to the point he eventually gave up playcalling in GB.
Again, this is not to excuse Dak but it's kind of laughable that people think Dak is holding McCarthy's brilliance back. LOL.
Yes, Rodgers choked on that play, could have ran it in but threw to Adams instead.McCarthy had Rodgers in his prime. These other coaches did not. But in fairness, LaFleur went to back to back NFCCGs with Rodgers and he was a first time NFL head coach.
I am not looking for him to carry the team. He is what he is.I think Dak has a bad last 5 minutes but this games was marred by penalties and a defense that was absent
If your looking for Dak to carry a team when the defense plays awful your filling yourself ( not you just fans in general)
He stink tonight no doubtLOL, just wanted to get your attention. Yeah, he's kind of the problem but there is another big issue here.

When there are receivers running open in the EZ and this fool holding the ball, its hard to blame the playcaller
Ya I mean az defense played decent at getting to Dak but I didn’t see anything deepI am not looking for him to carry the team. He is what he is.
But I also think people need to realize McCarthy isn't going to scheme up anything great either. He's a mediocre OC.
That translates to that they can’t play from behind. It’s been that way for a while. Very different team when playing from ahead. You say this like it's impressive but he had an elite QB that covered up his warts. Also note, that he never got close to a SB win again despite having Rodgers and it got so bad that he eventually gave up play calling.
He's a mediocre OC. And pair him with a mediocre QB? You get blah offense. If this defense isn't creating turnovers and great field position and suffocating opposing offenses, this isn't an offense that can go toe to toe with someone. They just can't.
Defense definitely wasn’t good. Blown coverages….getting gashed by the run…penalties……the hype got to them per usual. But Dak has got to step up and pull them through this. I like dak but I’m starting to think that dak can’t win tight games.Yea people are going to gloss over the defense being awful and blame Dak
McCarthy is not a good a OC because you say so. OkIt's not.
McCarthy is not a good OC. Dak is an average QB.
Both are accurate statements.
