Or more likely Dak is what he is and McCarthy isn't a guy that's going to get the most out of him.

Other than one SB year, there's nothing in McCarthy's background that screams great OC. In fact, the evidence seems to show he kind of was always an underachiever as an OC.

Gotta blame Quinn too. Quinn, instead of focusing on coverage, he focused on pressure, and the Cards used the pressure against us. He continued to go after Dobbs and Dobbs burned us with man coverage. The cardinals didn't protect their no name QB, they let him loose. Yet, on our side, McCarthy is treating Dak like a 1 year QB. If Dak can't just let it fly, get someone in that will be aggressive.

The stupidity of this comment is awesome.

Jerry won three rings because he had Johnson. Then he booted Johnson, the team Johnson built fell apart due to age/cap and since Jerry has been calling the shots himself, they have......... wait for it.......... zero NFCCG appearances in over two decades.

But yeah, Jerry is doing a great job.

Yea people are going to gloss over Dak being the problem for years and needing hall-of-fame talent on the OL and all skill positions. Dak has wasted more premium talent than any QB I can remember. He’s a single read QB that’s reluctant to run. The Cowboys never win a bowl with this guy running the show.

You say this like it's impressive but he had an elite QB that covered up his warts. Also note, that he never got close to a SB win again despite having Rodgers and it got so bad that he eventually gave up play calling.

He's a mediocre OC. And pair him with a mediocre QB? You get blah offense. If this defense isn't creating turnovers and great field position and suffocating opposing offenses, this isn't an offense that can go toe to toe with someone. They just can't.

I don't want to knee-jerk. But even last week, I worried that this team's offense reminds me of the post-Super Bowl Packers offenses, that looked "efficient" but didn't throw downfield enough and ended up out of the playoffs. Hope I'm wrong.

Well for starters, by the time McCarthy left, Rodgers was in his late 30s. So anyone who has had Rodgers post McCarthy didn't have the prime Rodgers.

And yes, Rodgers was the reason McCarthy won a SB. It's kind of silly to suggest otherwise.

I am stunned that people think he's a great coach.

The main bad playcall was not kicking the field goal, that was just dumb. Everything else was on Dak, poor throws, late throws, and no leadership. Dude is a dud.

Thank you. It’s like what game are people watching? The defense was hot garbage all game. 222 yards rushing to a team led by a journeyman QB? I’ve seen this picture before, when Dak was not on the team.
