The stupidity of this comment is awesome.

Jerry won three rings because he had Johnson. Then he booted Johnson, the team Johnson built fell apart due to age/cap and since Jerry has been calling the shots himself, they have......... wait for it.......... zero NFCCG appearances in over two decades.

But yeah, Jerry is doing a great job.
There's some truth there, but Jimmy after leaving did absolutely nothing. Maybe they were a good combo?

Yea people are going to gloss over Dak being the problem for years and needing hall-of-fame talent on the OL and all skill positions. Dak has wasted more premium talent than any QB I can remember. He’s a single read QB that’s reluctant to run. The Cowboys never win a bowl with this guy running the show.
He's just not the same QB after his leg injury. He's not a running anymore.. he lost that dimension to his game.

I don't know what to tell you. McCarthy got run out of GB for his failures. His offenses became stagnant. He couldn't get another job for a year. His hiring in Dallas was met with skepticism, when he named himself OC in Feb, again a lot of people were skeptical given how he bombed out in GB. In the meantime, a creative, first time HC turned Rodgers around and the team was quite successful and Rodgers had two great seasons.

The evidence is there that McCarthy is what we see - average, decent, mediocre, something in that range.

It's perplexing that people think he's actually quite good but then again, we had people defending Garrett right up until he got fired.

I have no problem with this post. I just know that Rodgers didn't win that Superbowl by himself, just like MM didn't win it by himself.

If this offense stinks like this for most of this season, and into the playoffs ?
..the big Mac is gone as HC, imo

..and Dan Quinn will be promoted to new HC after the season, and he'll
either keep OC Brian Shottenhemeir or look for his own new OC .

Jerry has 3 rings.

Try again.
Jerry got 3 rings when all he had to do was write huge cheques to steal great players.

Since the advent of the salary cap he hasnt had a clue.. we have all seen it for 30 years.. what other GM would have kept his job.

Unfortunately Jerry IS the constant and we prob have a few years to go yet.

This site wailed for years wanting to get rid of Kellen Moore even though the Cowboys had the best red zone offense the past 2 years. The howling was endless.

Well there you go.
Yep. Kellen Moore is so good that he got the Chargers off to a whopping 1-2 start.

Please.... Kellen Moore is trash, period. There's a reason teams didn't come knocking his door down for his low football IQ garbage ***.

You can't win in the NFL scoring 1 TD in 5 red zone possessions. Dak's ball placement is awful. On the fade to CD in the 4th, the ball was about 5 yards misthrown. The fade is a high school throw.
I agree Dak needed to throw that better but Lamb didn't even try to go up and catch it. He just threw his hands up trying to get a PI call. Doing that is the same as flopping in basketball or the acting they do in soccer.

I hated Moore but atleast he kept up some good red zone stats.now i dread every moment in the red zone,we are that bad.we cant always rely on the D to win the game,if our offense was effiecient yesteerday we would have won that game.

There is only one person more useless on Jerry’s payroll than McCarthy. It is Quinn. What a worthless POS.

The ball bounced off the defender’s head. Unless CD grows his arms out another 5 feet, he had no chance. The ball was supposed to be over his shoulder, to the back pylon.

Yes. His IQ was so low the Cowboys had the top red zone offense the past 2 years before he left. A true imbecile.

Because we now see how much better the red zone offense is now. A true force

Someone posted the stats and we literally ran 100% of the time the first two downs in the red-zone. We were able to get away with it against the Giants and Jets but people are figuring out the Cowboys tendences, hence Micah looking a lot more ineffective, and load managing our players because we thought this was an easy win is on coaching. You can see our players have an attitude issue after the loss because our biggest players refuse to admit that they got beat. Instead it's that wack 'we beat ourselves' talk. I thought Mike got the attitude out of them based on our first two games, but our team still believes 'we dem boyz', and they can just show up and win.

Being down 3 starters on the OL could never have changed the way McCarthy called the game or affected the timing in the passing game.

For this game, I blame Dak. He got it in his head that he was going to be running for his life with 3 OL out and played that way the entire game.

Originally I thought McCarthy's play calling was going to be a boom for Dallas. Quick passes, hit the first read, balance with the running game. In the first couple of game it looked like that was the case--he didn't have to do much as we got the lead and the defense was dominating. I thought there was more though.

However, after yesterday, I'm not so sure there is another component to his plan. Every pass being 4 yards and relaying totally on YAC is not going to make it. Receivers are getting blanketed, forcing Dak to throw into tight windows and coverage again. There has got to be a balanced in this passing game between the short quick passes and some schemed plays to get these receivers open.
