I don't disagree. But how are they correctable? Seems like they would have been corrected within the last 8 years if it were possible.

The mark was missed when they decided they could just sit people and get a win just cause they showed up

I agree we needed Dak to step up and we needed the defense to actually show up. But at the same time you can't ignore two missing starters on the line or a key secondary player out for the season.
3 starters out. Martin, Smith and Biadacsz.

The coaches, players and FO office can say whatever they want to say, but this team assumes the 0-2 Cardinals would just lay down for them.
Then Dak spouts on post-game interviews that the media hyped them up…but what he forgot to say is that the team totally ate up the hype.
This team is arrogant and heartless and consistently has these embarrassing losses year-after-year…when does it stop. This is on Jerry Jones…he is the only constant; but he holds nobody accountable, or this wouldn’t keep happening.

I mean how many teams can plan the week and miss 3 starters after Thursday? Let alone two hall of famers

Zero excuses. But I feel Dallas was arrogant and let these guys sit
It did look like Smith wanted to play and was pissed everything the LT made a mistake.

I don't think the OL played badly
Atrocious RedZone play calling and an asleep Defense were the culprits...

Go watch Kearse's tape this game. Worst game I think he's ever played. He and LVE stunk up the joint, and Parsons ran past 2 or misdirection plays himself.

Directly, there are plenty of techniques that are dependent upon skills.

First focus...the offensive line. Three of the starters either were backups or haven't played since the start of training camp. Improve that area right now, and time to deliver the ball increases. Those partial seconds are very important to successes, both running and passing the ball. Those are directly manageable items both in play and play selections.

Character and strengths are built up over the course of a season as well.

With slight time advantages, plays as in this last game, are given more end zone boundary area advantages. Two missed end zone passes to Lamb would hsve given him back shoulder jump advantages instead of ending incomplete or out of bounds. The third created an interception by being a fraction second late.

Those are all correctible aspects within in grasp of this current team and coaches.

This game, the defense dropped the ball...don't think they are core good? I do...

Big Mike missed the mark calling plays
No. He called what he could to put the young linemen in a spot to succeed. Inexperienced linemen are always far more advanced in run blocking. He was working within the limitations of what the three injuries brought. We also likely had challenges with the line calls. That's Tyler's job (or Martin when Tyler is out). They made some poor calls and that screwed the offense up. Tyler is playing one of his first games at LG -- he can't make the line calls either.

I expect that next week we are going to move to having Harlow elevated from PS to play or backup at center. He's got more experience. These UDFAs played well in several situations but they need much more time to develop.

This.
It's games like these that cause the 'Boys to either miss the playoffs or settle for a wild card seed.
And it happens every single year. Championship teams beat the teams they're supposed to. The arrogance this organization often displays is apparent.

You give Mac credit for more awareness and insight than any coach in history.

There's 5 minutes left and you need 2 scores.

Nobody calls for 4 consecutive gut runs. Nobody. He needed a chunk play or two, and he got 4, 4, and 3, and 4, and 2.

For these efforts: he was rewarded an EZ pick on 4th to seal the game entirely. And no the QB was not pressured on this throw because of the OL.

Big Mike missed the mark calling plays
and preparing the team in many ways etc etc, he missed pretty much all the marks ! lol
That game is a good example of why mike never made it back to a SB. he always has playoff game where he misses the mark too.
Then it is watch the tape and get better mode lol.
Would be something if they could actually understand why they lost, and simply not repeat those things again?
