He should have been fired after the loss to GB in the playoffs last season!

Of course he should have but that would have accomplished nothing when the plan was to bring the gang back like nothing ever happened. Dak, CD, Martin, D Flaw and Diggs are the highest paid players on this team and they are 100% responsible for the toxic environment. You can blame Jerry if you want to that is fine but the players can step up and be better than management. They chose not to. In fact they chose the opposite.

The only question is now, when not if he quits or is fired. Could even be a mutual parting after we get roasted this week against Philly. MM Looks burnt out to me. I think that's how his friendly firing will be framed. It's how Jerry operates nowadays. Same way he handled Garrett but this will be in season. I see no scenario where Mike stays the full year.

IMO he knew his days were numbered in the offseason. The once very tame McCarthy was making comments about his contract in the offseason.
Had to guess he knew this year was going to be a tough one for him to pull out another winning season. Low chance of getting a 2nd contract. Deal expired one-two years too late for him.

Still think they just keep him as the Head coach till the end due to not having a coach in training waiting in the wings.
Stab me in the eye if Brian Schott would take over.

You weren't around in the 80's (the Campo years) I was. THREE 5-11 seasons. Worse than this.

Were you drunk? Campo was the HC in the early 2000's, not the 80's.

Earlier in the season I thought Mike would finish off the season and be let go.

However, I would not be shocked if they let him go early.

Either way I think the dance of who they will pick as next head coach is probably in the early stages.

I imagine there will be communications of possible coaching candidates starting.
