and promote who as interim HC ? .... Mike Zimmer ? .... Al Harris ?

Jerry true to his word ( aside from Wade Phillips to heir apparent Jason Garrett) . i don't see Jerry firing his current HC until after the season.
and like Garrett, it's just an expiring contract to which Jerry definitely will not renew.

- Question is who would be the most qualifying HC candidate(s) out there to replace McCarthy ..?

- Me thinks Jerry is gonna go after a highly regarded offensive mind to re-capture, re-handle high paid Dak Prescott

- That's what Jerry wanted with Jason Garrett ... that's what Jerry wanted with Kellen Moore ....that's what he thought he had with McCarthy
and that's what Jerry is gonna seek with with the next HC he hires next...
Smells like Kingsbury that will fail miserably…..

Mike will be fired before the year is through. Likely after Thanksgiving.

Jerry needs to cement the tank. And how better than to put the team in Zimmer's hands with Lance at QB?

Earlier in the season I thought Mike would finish off the season and be let go.

However, I would not be shocked if they let him go early.

Either way I think the dance of who they will pick as next head coach is probably in the early stages.

I imagine there will be communications of possible coaching candidates starting.
I can't see him firing Mike mid season without an immediate replacement on the staff to continue next season. When he fired Wade he had JG. The next head coach isn't on the staff.

If the team totally flops that's a possibility, but unless Jerry thinks he has the next coach in waiting on the staff he'll probably ride it attributing a lot to injuries.

I rather them keep McCarthy rather than seeing a team that possibly plays better under Zimmer and Jerry considers giving him the job.

Barring the team quitting completely, McCarthy won't go anywhere until after the season. Jerry is too petty to pay him to sit at home.
Very true. Plus, with Jerry talking about trying to improve the team (lol) at the deadline, this means he is not giving up...which I would think means no coaching change during the season. I disagree with his strategy.

He’ll get a pass because of all the injuries. Now Dak is hurt. That provides Jerry another excuse not to fire him during the season. The Cowboys will move on from McCarthy after the season.

I not big on the whole BB thing, he pretty much hasn't done squat without Brady, even in his days as the browns coach he was meh.
I don’t want him, either. His resume, however, speaks for itself.

I want a young, hungry and smart up and coming coach that shows innovation and initiative but that also has experience winning in the NFL.

What we’re going to get is another past his prime retread or wet behind his ears never was.
