McCarthy's decision - worst ever

Been watching football 51 years and that was the single dumbest decision I have ever seen. Hands down, there is no justification, no logic that can counter this stupidity. As soon as I saw them going I shouted McCarthy just lost this game single handedly

He is the buffoon people were calling him in his 1st 2 years here

I’m not a McCarthy fan, but that call didn’t lose it for us. Fire Kellen for sure.
The biggest thing for me was why did they play Parsons off the ball 99% of the time?

They miss that FG from 54. I have no problem with going for it in that situation. The defense has to play ball, too.

He knows his defense couldn't stop the run and didn't want to try a long field goal and if Maher missed, Rodgers has a short field just needing a field goal to win, nothing wrong with the decision to go for it and try to win the game.....

There's no guarantee Maher makes the 50+ yard FG and we saw how our D responded anyways (they didn't).

Maybe it'd be different if this were a playoff game and a TD on your opening drive doesn't end the game.

You kick the FG, you just give Aaron Rodgers 4 downs to go get a TD, and you’ve proven you can’t stop him in the 4th already.

You miss the FG (not a chip shot), you give him great field position, also.

So did I. That's a low percentage field goal in those temperatures. Maher couldn't even get the ball to the end zone on kickoffs.

He trusted his 40 million dollar QB to make a play. He failed.

That was a great call. Go down swinging instead of attempting a 53 yard fg into the wind. Even if we made the fg, you know Rodgers would have just put it in the end zone for a touchdown anyway. The coaching staff has guts and confidence. The players need to reward them

then make Rodgers go down the whole field and score a touchdown. Not get the ball within striking distance.
