Been watching football 51 years and that was the single dumbest decision I have ever seen. Hands down, there is no justification, no logic that can counter this stupidity. As soon as I saw them going I shouted McCarthy just lost this game single handedly

He is the buffoon people were calling him in his 1st 2 years here

You think that the defense was going to stop the Packers? lol

Said it over and over. The guy that beat us today is the only reason MM isnt permanently watching film in his barn.

you mean the guy who everyone in the world hates, who hasn’t gotten back to a Super Bowl since McCarthy left? That guy?

You have to kick the FG, and make hem get a TD to win - you are right on the buffoon, I mean button

I thought it was the right call

Agree. How many times have you seen Rodgers roll down the field and win the game. Even if we make the FG, I have a feeling they still score a TD.

It was not a gimme FG...would have been about 54 yards in the cold. You saw how kickoffs for both teams were short all game. If it was a little closer then you kick the FG but at that point, you should feel more confident in your "Top-10 QB" being able to pick up 4 yards in two plays.

But I'm not defending McCarthy overall - he is still not smart and contributes to the dumb culture
.....with help from the OC working the dumb culture. Tolbert in OT?

If you know you're going for it on 4th down, why not run the ball twice? We were moving the ball on the ground.
I’d like this post 100 times. If you are going to be aggressive you call a run of some sort on 3rd and 4.

Absolutely moronic in game coach that doesn’t understand time management or game situation. Ridiculous to go for that. Absolutely ridiculous.

and who runs the ball and then calls time out with 2 seconds left on your own 30!

it’s actually hard to make as many poor decisions as he does
And why the heck was Tolbert even in the game there? Who decided that? You have one WR on the field and it’s a guy who doesn’t even play and you thinks it’s going to make them think you are throwing or something?

So did I. That's a low percentage field goal in those temperatures. Maher couldn't even get the ball to the end zone on kickoffs.

He trusted his 40 million dollar QB to make a play. He failed.
I like how every interception is now ceedee lamb fault apparently. We gotta scheme any big passing play . the guy just can’t throw people open like Kirk cousins did for Jefferson today

If they already knew they were going for it on 4th down should have ran on it on 3rd lol. This team from top to bottem
exactly. If you going for it on 4th you plan for it. And If they didn’t know until the 4th down that they were going to go for it, it makes them even more clueless

But we also don't have anyone that can go up and get it like Jefferson. Gallop used to be able to.

But that contract is looking like another colossal mistake.

Dude....MM had no choice but to go for it....(Maher wasn't making the kicks in pregame from that distance) and there was to much time left on the clock and the Defense is a hot mess that Rogers was tearing up at will.....NO FREAKING way do you give the ball back to Rodgers....Im ok with going for it..... Just think KM made a horrible play call

I think all our pass catchers can catch passes Just fine. Sometimes you gotta use your natural qb instincts and make it happen.

rodgers broken thumbs figured it out.

Anyone crying about this call must have been following the game on espn Gamecast and didn’t watch any of the kickoffs. No one was making a 50+ yard FG

I don't mind the call either.

Players has to make plays in crunch time, that's the difference between contender/pretender.
