We’ve all known what Dak was, unfortunately Jerry is afraid to have to look for another QB…. Should have never been paid all this money four years ago, and now made it even worse. MM should have been fired the day after the GB debacle. Yet here we are again, picking up the pieces of another wreckage.

This is a rebuilding year, not a SB run. We have a fake GM, a fake HC and a fake QB… what could possibly go wrong?

STHU. Patrick Mahomes was dinking-n-dunking all game long to a total of only 151 passing yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs and a passer rating of 80.6 against a Bengals defense that is not as good as the Saints defense. I don't hear anyone criticizing Mahomes for his poor performance which his team carried him for a win. That's because Mahomes has more and better weapons at WR, TE and RB.

What weapons does Dak have? Only CeeDee. Our RBs aren't good enough, our Oline stunk and couldn't get any push or open any holes or pass protect. Our stud TE didn't play due to injury. His backup was average at best. CeeDee is our only weapon at WR.

Not even Patrick Mahomes would have succeeded playing with this Cowboys offense today. Dak is not the problem. Get over the blind hatred already.
Whataboutism. Nice.

You’re wasting Cooks handing him the ball on sweeps and you’re risking him being out an extended time with injury . Jet sweeps should be a Lamb Turpin production . Cooks is a weapon 15-20 yards downfield .

Stop this nonsense of shuffling backs . Rico Dowdle should get at least 15 touches a game rushing and screens . Elevate Dalvin Cook he’s had 2 games to absorb the playbook its time . Make Vaughn inactive .

Even with a Ferguson return Schoon costing a 2nd rounder at his size needs to stay somehow in the passing game particularly as a red zone target . Get the ball to Tolbert more often and get Ryan Flournoy active immediately and make Jalen Brooks inactive. .

It's still just the 2nd game.

Rams are 0-2 and the Steelers are 2-0.......does anybody believe either of those teams are really as good or bad as their records?

I give it 2 more games .......we stopped the run in game 1 and got run out the house in game 2.

Evidence continues its course

Mike would love to call a different game. He can’t. Dak can only handle
The short throws. Thus his
High percentage. Dinks , dunks , curls , slants , RB dumps , Screens yada.

That’s why we always lose once the D gives up an opening score or we fall
Behind.

Dak isn’t a QB who can make the downfield throws or hit the deep post when it counts. Once Dak is behind it’s clear as day the Doe Eyes. They even show them on TV for that reason.

Next four years are a Lost cause.

U don’t get “great”. It doesn’t just “ come “

You either have it or you don’t.

Dak clearly doesn’t
Mike can call whatever plays he wants to call. The red zone play calling is awful. Uncreative. The res of the time he is blocked by the fact we can't run the football, we can't pass block, and none of our WRs other than CeeDee can get open and when the double CeeDee there is nowhere else to go except to the underneath throws.

Why can people accept we have one of the worst sets of skill position players in the league? And when our OTs can't pass block for 2 seconds it forces the short passes.

This team needs a serious infusion of real talent, not players hyped up by Dallas Cowboys.com beat writers and Jerry Jones.

We just paid Dak the kind of money that requires a QB that will have to win with less, when he couldn't win when he had more, and you guys have been laughing about that. Enjoy Dak's "big win," it's likely the only one you'll ever see.
You didn't pay him a dime. The Jones did.

You think playing QB is all about down field throws? The good offenses are all passes underneath….there’s no greatest show on turf offenses in 2024.
It's not "all" about downfield throws but it's an awesome weapon to have in your arsenal. QBs like Rodgers and Wilson at their heights were excellent downfield throwers and because of it, they were never out of any game they trailed, even by multiple scores. You don't have that confidence here and this is a decent reason why.

Not talking 20 yards that the stats tell you is a deep pass, I'm talking bombs like Carr laid on us yesterday. Quick strikes like that are devastating to a defense. If you can't put that kind of pressure on a defense then you are limited. And we are. Have said we needed this for years. Are we good enough without it?

Jeeze, I know we have some blind Dak hate on this board but the amount of vitriol being thrown at him today for yesterday is completely nonsensical. I don't even think half of the people doing it believe themselves.

1. Nothing about Dak's contract will prevent the Jones' from filling in the holes that destroyed us yesterday. That is a dumb narrative no one should buy. It certainly hasn't impacted the roster this year.
2. The defense did the same thing as in GB. Literally no one showed up. I think an under-discussed issue is that if Tank and Micah don't show up then we have 0 pass rush. None. Even Tank is iffy in that regard. Losing Sam Williams, or at least the role he was supposed to play this year, is really hurting.
3. We have one offensive weapon in CeeDee, and with Ferg out that was very apparent. Cooks would be a great WR3 but he's unfortunately WR2, and if he's taken away we're just screwed. Tolbert made one good grab but if you watch the All-22 none of you would blame Dak. These guys aren't getting open at all, are falling down, etc. 88 is doubled at least, and the rest of them are blanketed by defenders. Just a comedy of errors at this point. As asinine as it will sound to some, I'd call Houston and see about a 7th for Schultz. He had good chemistry with Dak and we have nothing behind Ferg. Nothing. Based on Houston's first two games he seemed to be targeted less than some of their younger TEs and so it may be worth a shot.
4. We have no running game, obviously. Zeke isn't as bad as we all feared, but Rico nor Deuce are these secret weapons we were all hoping for. We need to trade for one of Seattle's backs IMO when Kenneth Walker gets healthy.
5. Jerry needs to either trade some mid round picks for two starting defensive tackles or a 1 for a pro-bowl DT. Not sure who or what teams would let them go, but that should be doable at the end of the month.

I don't even know how to quantify the defense. If we got a better RB and ideally one more WR I think the offense will be fine, but I know it's completely unrealistic to expect this FO to trade for DT, WR, and RB in-season. At a bare minimum they have to go after RB and DT. They have to do what they did last week and generate pass rush with Overshown, the safeties, etc.I know they were trying to stop the run yesterday, but Carr had all day to throw when he wanted to. Someone better at football 101 than me will have to explain how they let those receivers get so open, or how they can seemingly run outside at will. The interior runs got stopped relatively well, but then the lack of DTs really became apparent as the game wore on.

I'm fine with blasting Dak when he deserves it, but yesterday was just one of those days where he and Ceedee couldn't overcome the entire rest of the team not showing up, and the coaches being outcoached. Maybe it really is time for McCarthy to go, I'm just sick of having to start over all the time.

I hate to say it...

McCarthy's offense looks like the NFL has passed him by.

Elliot may be the best RB on the roster. What a failure that is.

We don't have a true #2 WR, and offensive scheme isn't helping one to emerge.

We really don't seem to have much of a "running scheme".

We have to use WR's to attack the edges in the running game, our RB's aren't capable of doing it.

Cooks and Turpin lack vision as runners.

From what I could see on gameday film, our LB play was lousy, filling the wrong lanes, jumping in the wrong gaps, lack of awareness in their zone drops.

Despite the supposed pressures, I didn't think our pass rush was all that great last week against backup OT's. It didn't look any better this week. But, we couldn't stop the run either. And, it wasn't close.

Our O-Line needs to improve. There are signs of disaster lurking.

We look good enough to go on a big winning streak during a softer part of our schedule. But, I don't think these things go away. If anything, they get harder to cover up.
This is the best we can do, we had to dumb it down, these are the plays that Dak are most comfortable with so that's why we only do these

This is absolutely on point. Perfectly stated

McCarthy is going to be the next body found in Dak Wayne Gacy's crawl space

The guy is a $60 million serial career killer
