On the show, they said he will go to the highest bidder. No matter who and that he may get too expensive.

I don't think there's any question that the main reason he's playing again is for the money... the life-style, ex-wives, kids, friends and relatives have a way of gobbling up the cash. I would really like to see Rolando show that he's willing to work harder before paying a king's ransom to retain his services. It might be my own misconception, but it seems like he gets by on talent alone and doesn't like to practice ala Charles Haley, his desire to excel might diminish even more once he's paid again. <ducks>

Not buying what 105.3 is saying unless there is video and audio of him saying those words. From all that I read, he loves it here. I fully expect JJ to do whatever it takes to re-sign him.

I hope so. When I was listening to 105.3 say this my heart dropped out of my chest and then I gathered my senses. I'm like why would they say this now ... and how do they know this?

He should get the money Carr is stealing from the organization.

Ro is to the defense what our O-line is to the offense.

Also, Jerry should fund some scientific institution to remove Sean Lee's brain and have it installed in Bruce Carter's head. *BAM* Scariest LB EVER.

I think Carr should be asked to take a cut and if not then Dallas needs to release him

That's a very valid point. I had doubts when we signed him but now I've become a fan since then. Having said that, I still wouldn't sign him to a big guaranteed contract. Pay him but on a incentive/performance laden contract. Sort of like how we did with Sean Lee.

I wanted to see a defensive player step up in hostile conditions late in year and tonight we saw that player. McClain has the stones to be a leader on this defense. I am excited about LB core for next year. Imagine the toughness with Lee, McClain and Hitchens on field at same time. If we could just add a edge pass rusher this team would be really difficult to stop.

I like this post, but I don't have confidence in Lee at all to stay healthy. He didn't do it in college and thus far in the pros. Man I hope I'm wrong though. If they could be healthy for a few years together this defense can at least be average to good on 3rd downs and get the heck off the field.

I thought I heard in one of Garrets pressers that McClain loves to practice.

There were several reports that he hired a financial advisor when he was a rookie and that he still had the majority of the money he got from the Raiders. I think the Raiders paid him over 30M.

Just on the Fan, they heard he is looking for most money for next year. They don't think we'll be able to sign him next year.
That has become my favorite of the 3 local sports talk radio stations; however, they are often full of bs. One of their top Cowboys insiders is Mike Fisher. For some reason Fisher has been trying to create controversy around McClain since he first arrived. Fisher kept saying that McClain was not really injured in training camp but was just faking injury to get out of practice.

Fisher is normally a good reporter but in regards to McClain he's been hell bent to make an issue.

There is no way Jerry's letting RoMc walk out of my life.

“He’s an impact player, and I mean that both ways. He impacts our defense,” Jones said. “We’re a better team when we’ve got him and boy he impacts the imposing team when he’s out there playing against them. He’s a load, and they know he’s in the game. It’s comforting – you feel better about your middle, you feel better about your overall physicalness of your defense – when you’ve got Rolando out there.”

I can only imagine how good McClain could be if our DL wasn't terrible.

I'm not sure they are terrible. They get decent push just not fast enough to consistently get sacks and that has more to do with our DBs.

Never heard he was low on cash nor that he doesn't practice hard.

That's surprising considering Fisher is a big time JG supporter.

I have my doubts that Lee will be back. I love the guy, but with his injury history I don't know that the team will bank on him.
