That's surprising considering Fisher is a big time JG supporter.

I assume that McClain was rude to him or something like that.

I was vocally against the trade for McClain during the offseason. I had real questions with regards to his commitment.

I'm glad to admit that I have been wrong on that this year. He has been an indispensable member of the defense this year, and makes a real difference with his physical play. I would be careful with the contract that the team offers him, but he has earned an extension, no question.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and I thought about making a thread, an I'm going to get killed for this, but here it goes.

McClain has been a very good player, but he is starting to live slightly off the reputation of his first few weeks. He has 1-2 whiffs per game lately, is stiff in pass protection and especially bites hard on play action. These are things that can be corrected, and he is GREAT against the run, but I think we will see him targeted in the passing game on Thursday.

I would like to see him signed, but I would also like to see improvement in these areas. If not, then I would not risk the cap for his sake.
