Exactly.

Getting rid of the bad personalities in the locker room and getting rid of older guys with fat contracts. Not sure how Eagles fans aren't happy about these things.

My best friend is a died in the wool Eagles fan and he is ecstatic over these moves.
Of course he's just one guy and I have not paid attention to the Eagle's Nation's general opinion on this.

I think I would be happy too with what Chip's doing if I was an Eagles fan.

It's tough and unwise to evaluate these things in a vacuum. McCoy is the better player, but the Eagles just dropped a net amount of almost $9 million this year and $20 million over the next 3 years.

I think Kelly wanted to shed some salary and get rid of a talented but overpaid RB and get something in return.

So to truly evaluate the trade, we need to see what they do with all that new cap space.

I thought McCoy was darn near perfect fit for that offense. Fine you shed the CAP $$$$$. But you had a proven player.
With trade and injury you're reaching into the dark.
