Mcfadden still isn't out of the question.

Someone in this thread help me.

I don't see many Arkansas games, .. what does DM have other than speed?

I have watched him some and see a great athlete with great speed, but I don't see a 20+ carries a game NFL RB.

I saw "IT" last season when AP was at OK, but I don't feel that way when I watch DM.

the guy has been splitting some carries, but he still gets the bulk most weeks and is a workhorse type back...he has it all...speed, power, quickness to the hole, cutting ability...and he can catch and throw a little as well...

Maybe you should apply for the next moderator's job...

If I were a mod I would put these threads where they belong, the Draft Zone.

So you basically complained about a "Spam" Thread (which isn't even spam since it's cowboys related) by, ummm... spamming?

These threads are spam.

There are more McFadden threads now then Roy William hate threads.

At least the Roy threads are actually Cowboy related... how do you think this is related?

We just ran for 130 yards against the 2nd ranked rushing defense and we are talking about drafting a Running Back?

On top of it, a Top 5 pick, how exactly are we gonna draft a top 5 pick again?

We talk a lot about McFadden, but that's because of his freakish athleticism. But look at the numbers...

Ray Rice (Rut) 204 carries 999 yards 142.7 yds/g 4.9 ypc 13 TDs
Jonathan Stewart (Ore) 131 carries 940 yards 134.3 yds/g 7.2 ypc 7 TDs
Darren McFadden (Ark) 169 carries 932 yards 133.1 yds/g 5.5 ypc 7 TDs

I really like Jonathan Stewart and he is probably someone that can be had with our second #1.

CB or WR with #1 and then JS with our second #1 would look real nice to me.

I havent seen Stewart play much yet, but I will say the level of competition is different in when you compare the Big East or even Pac 10 to the SEC in terms of how good the opposing defenses are..and McFadden's great numbers are more than just this yr, he has been doing it since he stepped on campus there

I really like Stewart also he's a big back with 4.4 speed. I think he would be a perfect compliment with Barber plus he can return kicks so thats added value

Rams - Nope. They have SJack and Brian Leonard.

Jets - They have Thomas Jones and Leon Washington.

Falcons - Dunn and Norwood are decent.
We have Barber and Jones. Yet you think we should take McFadden (you would have MB sit?) while our secondary goes begging and we have only the aged Brad Johnson to back up Romo. Yes, I know, a rookie backup QB is of no consequence the first two years, but at some point we need to invest in a serviceable backup. And the secondary needs a blue-chip CB and a blue-chip safety.

All in all, we, too, have many needs. RB is not one of them that comes to mind.

Correction we have Barber cause JJ days are number with the cowboys he's gone after this season. We will need another back, but is it a priorty in the first round maybe not but it will need to be addressed also

Well, almost immediately after making the trade with the Browns in the last draft, Jerry himself started speculating about possibly adding McFadden... so it ain't like Cowboys fans just pulled that speculation out of thin air...

We just ran for 130 yards against the 2nd ranked rushing defense and we are talking about drafting a Running Back?

Yes, a true stud running back (one capable of 1500 yards a season) is the last piece of the offensive puzzle for this team, IMO... as far as I'm concerned, Marion Barber is being used PERFECTLY, the team is maximizing his potential... but if he's forced to become the feature back, that potential will be minimized some...

On top of it, a Top 5 pick, how exactly are we gonna draft a top 5 pick again?

Maybe Jerry's thinking about packaging both first rounders to move up... maybe McFadden falls some in the draft...

Thomas Jones and Leon "who?" Washington will not prevent the Jets from taking Run DMC.

The fact that they are desperate for a QB may however.

Yes it will - they just paid Thomas Jones a lotta money. They won't be grabbing another RB that early.
