Rumor has it, according to ESPN anyway, that the Bills are looking to trade McGahee for a 3rd round pick. I find this very intriguing. Remember, McGahee isn't very old, 23 or 24, and still has alot of football in front of him. Ok, he's no choir boy, but he's not PacMan Jones either.

Who would pull the trigger on that trade? I think I would do it. Or better yet, if the bills were interested, since they will be shopping for a RB, trade them Julius and a 4th for McGahee.

Thoughts??????????

#### EDIT ##### McGahee will turn 26 this Oct.

Depends whats on the board. He is a far better back that Jones. I would try Jones and a 4th round pick. Try him out for a year. If he pans out, then try and resign him. I doubt he will get the contract he is expecting unless he rushes for 1,500 yards next season.

Interesting. I wonder why the Bills would be shopping McGahee? He's posted two thousand yard plus seasons and one just shy of that with 990. He averages 3.9 YPC. Yeah, I might be interested in that trade.

I don't think McGahee is better than Jones necessarily... and I don't think Jones is even all that special.

McGahee is more explosive.

He's not happy in Buffalo. Not exactly a fan favorite after saying in public that the team should be moved to canada. He's made other statements about not liking the city itself, and the weather.

Things to that effect.

I think it would be a big improvement over Julius.

Julius is pretty explosive too

Jones falls down the first time he is touched. I don't hate Jones or even dislike him. I think he is a very nice guy. The man just can't stay vertical once he has made contact. Look back at Emmitt Smith, the man was a pinball running through the front seven. Then look at film of Jones. He appears more like the bowling pin rather than a bowling ball.

I think you might be right. He is a buy who could get the corner on a toss sweep. To me, he would be interesting.

There is a reason the Bills are giving up on this player!

yeah cause he openly admitted to not liking Buffalo. Not really talent based.

I have to agree. Anyone who doesn't is wearing silver and blue goggles. Jones goes down WAY TOO quickly. How many shoestring tackles brought him down this year?

I only saw him run with a vengeance once this year. At Seattle in the playoffs when he got real pissed off about a hit or something. The next 5 times he ran the ball, we tried to destroy people.

But the rest of the time.....I'm sorry, it doesn't take much to get the guy down.

Julius is far superior than Mcgahee, you will see it this year. I would never give up Julius if it was even a straight up deal. Julius is going to be our starter next year like it or not. Some may dream big of getting rid of Julius but a dream can only go so far. Julius is our man in 2007.

Not to mention that he's fathering kids like a Pez dispenser!

He's had 3 paternity suits filed against him in under 2 years - and that's while being 'stuck' in the Siberia of Buffalo.

Imagine what kind of damage he could do in a big market?

McGahee has one year left on his contract and is looking for his big payday.

Any team willing to do that will have to take everything else that comes with him.

If you look at his numbers, there not too bad. Would have to be something other then production I would think.

Jones plus a 4th round pick is worth more than just a 3rd round pick if that is indeed what Buffalo is looking for in my opinion.

that doesn't mean Julius isn't explosive, the only point of nyc's argument I'm arguing against

You honestly believe this? McGahee is twice the back that Jones is...I am all for piming our players, but this is flatout being a homer.

notice his production went down last year, and he only averaged like 3.6 yards per carry? that and the attitude is probably why they're shopping him

at least Julius improved his numbers last year
