Oh, and he was just getting started...

During a stream-of-consciousness rant of sorts, McNabb compared Cutler to Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and said there are no excuses for having one playoff win after nine NFL seasons.

“He’s the Tony Romo of the Midwest,” McNabb said. “We can talk about arm talent, we can talk about being able to throw a ball through a wall. He can put up 280, 340 yards passing, but you look across the board he’s got two interceptions in a game that cost them 14 points or so. That hurts a football team.

“Can he play in this league? Absolutely, he’s proven that. But a quarterback is measured by your body of work, meaning your wins and losses record, the numbers you put up. And the end-all be-all is how many playoff wins do you have? How many playoff appearances do you have? If you only have one to show for almost a decade of play that means you can’t lead your team to the playoffs.

“Then the question is why? Because you’re so talented, the potential is there, but why haven’t you been able to do it? You can only say for so long that it’s been the talent. They have some talent around Cutler, that’s never been the issue. Now can you put it all together? To be honest, the answer is no.”

McNabb had compared Cutler to Romo earlier in the interview, as well, calling them both an “accident waiting to happen.”

“If you continue to let them drop back and throw the football, they’re gonna turn the football over,” McNabb said.

Amani Toomer on his show has some kind of segment similar to "Come on Man!". It's called something like "Weeks dumbest". Right after his co host called his on Joseph Randle (deserved it), Amani went and called out McNabb for having the Cowboys at #13. Pretty funny.

Yes, Romo, Cutler and Rivers all have had similar careers. Solid regular season resumes and not much playoff success.....

But Romo and Cutler are nothing alike and I don't know why people keep associating Romo with interceptions. Its been a consistent trend this year for some reason I guess after the 49ers game but he ONLY had 10 INT's last year. And there were a few multiple INT games in there as well. Not sure why people keep associating him like he's Rex Grossman.

Hey McNabb, .. I don't really think there is an "end-all-be-all" to judge a QB on, .. but if there was, .. it would be Super Bowls, .. not playoff appearances or playoff wins.

You just can't shut up can you, .. you just have to continually prove what a schmuck you are.

McNabb actually is one of the very few QBs who can actually lecture someone about throwing interceptions, but like most people he wildly overstates Romo's tendency to turn the ball over. Cutler on the other hand, actually is the Eli of the Midwest...

I posted in the other mcnabb thread all the advantages he had playing on that eagles team.

All im gonna add is how silly i thought he looked all the times he threw a 3 yard pass to westbrook who would then run 60 yards for a TD after juking 4-5 players and here is McNabb running around with his hands up like he just threw a long TD pass into tight coverage to win the game.

But Its hard to intercept those basketball style bounce passes McNabb threw to his receivers.
