And what about the 3 drops Witten had, what about the 3 drops Austin had....they get a pass...oh, wait, they had a pass, 3 each and dropped them....

Yes. Last time I checked they had clearly cemented themselves as go to guys and developed a history of coming through when it counts. I could be wrong though......

I could have killed him when he dropped that pass in the 4th Quarter with about 9 Min to go and up by Two TD's, that made us punt and the Saints went right down and scored.
Romo was NOT amused. :angry::shatfan:

I'm going to just back off on Roy Williams, the guy is what he is. Like Matt Millen said last night, you just got to know how to use him.

Sorry but that is a cop out. The guy is suppose to be great at slants and you are suppose to throw him the ball even when he is covered because he is so big and strong. Yet when Dallas was driving on its most critical possession of the season he drops a perfect pass from Romo on a slant route.

Im done with the guy.

I'm officially off the RW11 bandwagon. I have been patient with him because I know he has talent. I just think he got that big contract and isn't working as hard as he should be. I'd like to see the team cut bait with him during the uncapped year but I don't want him gone until a suitable legit WR threat is brought in or emerges. He is still a vital part of the team because defenses have to give him some respect and he does block downfield. As soon as they have a reliable replacement its time to dump that contract.

Also, I would like to add, this is kind of what I am talking about when I said all week that "Nobody" on this team is afraid to be benched or lose some playing time.

Don't you guys think it has been long overdue for Roy Williams to feel some heat for dropping passes and not performing?

It isn't like we don't have some young and hungry guys that can come in and match his production.

Miles and Witten both dropped one, not three.

Anyhow, the issue is that Roy did nothing most of the game. He is supposed to be an $9M/yr move the chains WR who excels on slants, drags, smokes, etc. He has to make that play - the throw was perfect, he was wide open, he was at the first down marker so we didn't need any RAC. All he had to do is catch the ball - an 8th grader could make that catch 90% of the time.

He is just garbage and there is no reason to continue to trot him out there because he contributes virtually nothing at this time.

Roy is useless....sorry....it just isn't happening.

I am still not sure they can drop him in the offseason....but I would be happy to see him cut in the offseason and replaced by Steve Breaston.

Folks just need to understand, he is not our best receiver but he is very crucial to our success this season.

Teams are really going to try to gameplan against Miles Austin and we just have to hope Roy Williams can take advantage of single coverage.

That play in the 4th quarter is supposed to be his bread & butter - a simple slant. He was wide open, the pass was perfect, noone was going to hit him, he was at the first down marker so he didn't have to worry about RAC. All he had to do is squeeze it and he couldn't.

He serves no pupose on the team. Demote him to #5 WR and put him on special teams.

We'll be okay with Austin, Crayton, Ogletree and Hurd. We'll need to bring in another WR in draft or FA but we'll be okay without him.

There was another play and I don't believe it involved Olgetree but it looked like Miles. But Romo was hurried and threw a near interception at the sideline. But he had a receiver that beat his man down the middle and if Romo saw him, there is another long touchdown. Miles, Ogletree, and Phillips were great last night.

I thought that was Felix Jones on the near int. Could have been a big play.

It was more than that. I will put the video up this week, that way people can take there venom out on the video and not me!!!

and howbout this, we couldnt see this on tv but the cowboys missed an easy walk in touchdown last night.

ON that third drive, the first time romo was sacked, the saints secondary was confused by our formation and blew the coverage, ogletree was lined up outside and ran to the post all alone...it was a walk in TD however...leonard Davis missed his block when the ball was snapped and romo was sacked.

I have to imagine we are going to see much more of mr. ogletree and we should.
we also missed one when Romo got sacked, Austin was coming across the field and turned his route up the field, he was alone

You have to earn your opportunities. Roy earns less and less as time goes on.

Ogletree and Hurd are earning more reps.
I like RW11 from Permian and UT but he has proved himself to be unreliable. It's a catch one time and a drop the next. I am all for reducing his role and putting in Ogletree and or Hurd.:starspin

Why is Roy Williams even starting?
I expect to see a lot of that this week.

I wish a reporter would ask him that question.

It was a throw to Austin but Romo short armed it so bad that it looked like it was to Felix. That was probably the only bad throw Romo had all game where I didn't know who he was going to on that play.

In regards to Roy, I don't understand the bashing. He didn't have a game changing game but only had 3 targets. He had one good catch and tried to make things happen and he had a drop in tough coverage that he should've made. I just don't get how anyone can from away from that game and say "Roy sucks". No not after what I saw Nick Folk do. Sorry. Between the great win and the Nick Folk kick? That's about all I remember. And oh yea Romo outplayed Brees and Wade outcoached Payton.

And let me say this i'm not sure if the slant is good for Roy unless the defender is 10 yards off of him. He gets zero seperation on his defender. Some call it poor route running. Its not its just Roy doesn't get any seperation. They really need to go a different route when it comes to routes for Roy.

...the thing is...and i don't say this to absolve him of his need to make clutch plays but if he catches that third down pass he ends up 2 of 3 for more than just 14 yards...he was only targeted two times before that fourth quarter drop so it's not like he's the river the offense runs through...Miles was a beast but he was 7 of 13, the difference being his ability to deliver in the clutch...the offense runs through Austin and Ogletree, Crayton/Hurd are slowly stealing some of his targets...

...Williams did have a nice game against New York and if Romo sees the DB fall then its possible that he would've been the chief reason why Dallas would've won that game...the issue is one of trust, like its been all year...but only being targeted three times to Austin's thirteen tells you all you need to know about the WR hierarchy in Dallas...Williams catch rate continues to lag behind his teammates...

...eventually this will sort itself out...if Ogletree continues to progress then Williams will become an eyesore that Jones will have trouble justifying...just takes a little time that's all...Kevin does exude some talent though...the tip-toe-tap grab was VERY nice...

They ran him on a slant and he still dropped it in the clutch. The guy is the Nick Folk of wide receivers.

I don't believe the slant is right for Roy. Not when the corner is playing him so tight. Roy isn't gonna get seperation. He doesn't have the speed for it. Slants are more suited for guys like Wes Welker and Miles Austin. Run the slant with Roy when his cornerback is 10 yards off of him.

Roy "Alligator Arms" Williams

Guy looks scared going over the middle ever since Romo led him badly and he got laid out.
