Media is going on right now about how Jerry just undercut Jason bigtime by telling them Callahan is calling the plays.

I actually agree with them.

They could've made it somewhat look like Garrett's decision but now all hope is lost.

And people rag on me for my avi. This buffoon is unbelievable.

Let me get this straight....everyone and their mom has confirmed Callahan as the new caller yet Garrett is still refusing to admit it? What good does it do now to not acknowledge this?

Pretty obvious to me Garrett and Jones are not on the same page, I don't think JJ is on the same page as anyone else really. He is going to do whatever he wants to irregardless what anyone thinks.

See now all this playcaller stuff is just distracting and ridiculous. There is an obvious disconnect between Jerry and Garrett. Maybe Garrett wanted to keep the secrecy for a competitive edge heading into the season with teams preparing for elements of his offense instead of Callahans.

That's ridiculous though. Teams would see what we were doing in preseason.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if when Callahan was seen holding the playsheet up to his mouth, Garrett still wouldn't admit it.

Garrett should have just admitted it weeks ago. He could even lie and claim it was his call, and this wouldn't even be a story.

His ego wouldn't let him, though.

I hate Jerry as a GM as much as the next guy, but as GM, it is absolutely his right and responsibility to demote and reappropriate duties as needed. I see no reason why people are so up in arms about him announcing this. If anything, Garrett needs to swallow the pill, admit it and move on.

The timing is irrelevant. If he had announced it earlier, all we would be hearing is "Cowboys OTA's, with Bill Callahan now calling the plays..." That's what the media would focus on, because that's what the fans are obsessed with. What's the point of saying who the play caller is? I mean, really, why is it that big a deal that the whole world knows? The Cowboys know, and have known, and that's really all that matters. I'm glad Callahan is doing it now, but who is calling the plays is small change compared to the real problem. Until that's fixed, the playcaller won't matter.

So what happens during the season if the Cowboys continue to struggle scoring because the OL can't block anybody?

I dont think its Jerry's fault at all,he clearly wanted a change after the last season but Garrett is still resisting even now.This will be Garrett's last season if we dont make the playoffs.

Mcsurdy got a pass thrown to him. Lined up as third te right siide. Couldn't handle low throw from orton.

They had mentioned somewhere previously, the McSurdy might work at FB; however, sometimes these moves are just to give the defense work against that formation.

Cowboys reallllly switching up the FB near the goal line. McSurdy, Kowalski and Rosario all got time

I've been saying for awhile that Kowalski would be a good short and intermediate yardage FB. His speed/quickness is much closer to a real FB than someone like Montrae Holland who they used as the short yardage FB in 2011.

What responsibilities does he still have now?
Giving out the game ball at the end of contests?
Deciding 1-2 during a game whether to go for it on 4th down?
