Media Pass

As a representative of the forum:

Has anyone ever requested and received a media pass to a Cowboys game/function?

OK guys, when I said stupid question, I was referring to my question on my original post. Seeing that it brought so much controversy.

Forget about it!

I hate controversy!

Yes, I have gotten them! That thing hanging off my right hip is what it looks like. Doomsday is right about the media credentials being hard to get, and you're only allowed down on the field for the last 5 minutes, but then you can do the after game press and locker room interviews. One more note Print and Radio!

U should be honored. Causing controversy over something that isn't QB-related. :)

I think there are some wires crossed here.

I'm trying to answer questions by cowboyblue31 about getting a pass. Trying to help.

He is a member of the media. So am I. The passes I get are "media passes." They have them for photographers for the sidelines and for the press box.

The stuff for non-media is a totally different deal and a subject that doomsday81 appears to know all about. Carry on.

Hahaha..."Ummm honey really I was trying to get a shot of the field and me!"

Is anybody really looking at his media pass in this picture . I'll admit it's a very nice media pass .

BTW Da fan, I didnt think it was a stupid question. My bet is that more people wondered the same thing.

Seeing that it sparked 3 pages of posts so far, I say it was a great question.

I hope to get on the field soon as a photographer instead of sitting on the roof watching the game through binoculars, eating cold hot dogs.

Chief, if you work with your local paper get them to draft a letterhead for you about covering the game. Try every week. You might not know till you get there on gameday but the one time is all worth it!

There's a few more pics taken with an Elph so not real great but just add a number to the end of the pic link up to 7 I think...

Yes.

Make sure you cross all your Ts and dot all your I's. Or something like that!

GeeeZZZZ talking about short fuses.

Thought this was a place to relax and not worry about asking stupid questions.
Mind if I ask why you're getting so worked up over this? No one, not one single person is being rude to you. People with experience are trying to give you good info. The owner of the site took the time to answer you directly. From where I sit you were answered politely and professionally but you just don't like the answers. What's up?

I got it all straightened out for you now Chief. Carry on!

:laugh2:

Nice, Dallas.

I have an alibi, though.

Dale has seen me and JJT at the same place, at the same time.

So we can't possibly be the same person.

Being a member of the media (reporter), I will offer my experience.

Media passes are generally given to credentialed media personnel, particularly national and local media organizations with interest in the event/team.

A team may recognize smaller organizations, depending on availability of space and how "worthy" they deem your publication.

Usually, credentials must be submitted before hand, especially if you're a new reporter/organization.

I know whenever I cover a national event, whether Olympic soccer or a NFL exhibition game or XFL game (I'm not a regular sports reporter but I have handled fan reaction), or some other special event, I need to submit information to get a media pass.

At least that's been my experience.

Actually, if you ARE JJT then you both would be at the same place at the same time since you would be one and the same :)
