Kellen is very highly respected by many general managers who know real problem here is dak. You ever think it’s more who is limited by dak not the other way around.
You ever think they're smart enough that they could sign him away from us or even offer a deal, he's not getting much action. Unless Jerry has the league on notice to stay away

Maybe McCarthy should just round up all the beat writers and tell 'em...
"We Will Win The Game, and you can print that in 3 inch bold letters" I heard that might work for him. No? Wrong guy?

I mean he already said earlier in the year We're Nobody's underdogs.
So there's that.

How about..."We were nervous. NO, I did not participate in any of the offensive gameplan leading up to the SF game."

That kinda doozy from last year should surely keep him employed.

Just spitballin' here.

If the Cowboys lose Monday night, this place will be screaming for McCarthy to be fired. All off season the goal for this year was NFCCG appearance at a minimum or heads need to roll. Jerry told us that is his expectation for this season.

12-5? Yea nice record. If you live in Cleveland or Houston it's party time. In Dallas, the bar is W's in January. That is what Big Mike was hired for. Deliver, or it's hit the bricks pal.

If McCarthy doesn't get fired, what will Jerry do? Kick the can down the road another year. Can he sell that to the Cowboy fanbase? So next year becomes a rinse and repeat? Another NFCCG or else proclamation from Jerry?

Questioning McCarthy's job security if we lose on Monday isn't some wild pie in the sky notion that can be dismissed as something that will never happen.

Still not MM fan. However only weak, mediocre coaches are going to work for Jerry. So it really doesn't matter if MM stays or goes. He will be replaced with someone Jerry is comfortable with, meaning mediocrity. And it wont be Sean Payton either.

The "rah rah" coaches can only take a team so far. They are usually good for a short term improvement, but ultimately fail in achieving elite success. Coaches like McCarthy are lost without high quality coordinators. The Cowboys will lose at least one of theirs.

The real question is- If Dallas sucks against Tampa, do they promote Quinn or let him walk?

Yep,
You are absolutely correct. But to run it back with the same guy who was supposed to have been hired based on achieving post season success will be a hard sell even for the likes of Master spin artist Jerral Jones.

Again....what happened to "we need to go deep in the playoffs'"....everyone said it after the SF game....why suddenly does 12-5 absolve that??? Has this season thus far really been that much fun???

It's where the group of fans with regular season expectation levels have been so beat down by lack of playoff success that they have changed over to a side of settling for bare minimum participation trophies. They have some Pollyanna types who criticize long time fans for not being happy about regular season wins.
The other group of which I belong has yet to compromise their standards for what truly successful Cowboys seasons are. Meaning consistent annual playoff contention and success.

Just a matter of where ya stand.

Depends on how they look in TB but how they showed up in WAS, is that all on McC and his staff?

Do we think they told all the players not to worry and just treat that as a pretend game?

Big Mike should NOT be fired. He has done a very good job in 3 years guys. 1st year his qb tore his whole ankle off the bone. Tom Landry couldn't work miracles that first year. Last two years 24-10. He managed the team masterfully during Daks absence this year. Despite Jerrah making a mockery on his weekly show. MM has done very good despite the sabotage by Jerrah guys. You CAN NOT blame the coach when men who have committed they're whole lives to football & still can't motivate themselves for a damn playoff game. High-school players are VERY motivated to win a 1st round district playoff game without a coach having to give them a "remember the titans" speech. So why can't grown men ? MM will be the latest scapegoat & casualty of Jerrah & the bunch. Now Kellen Moores play calling well..........
