the media (esp ESPN) would love to see Brett Favre in the SB. theyre saying how going on the road to Dallas will actually help the packers chances because their passing game is better suited for ideal conditions. Merrill Hoge said so on NFL Live.

No one kisses Brett's butt more than ESPN.

Madden and Michaels do. The Cowboys and Patriots could be playing in the SB. And those 2 will talk about Favre the entire time, instead of 2 of the best QB's playing right now.

Think what you want but there is some validity to that statement. The Packers are a throwing team, and ideal conditions far better suit their gameplay.

Now with that being said, anyone who thinks coming to Texas Stadium is better for the Packers than Lambeau Field is a moron.

It is sickening!
There's no guarantee that GB at Dallas even comes to pass. I'd say the odds favor it.
If both teams do win their division games and go into that game relatively healthy, ie Romo and Owens at or close to 100%, no big Pack injuries, the Cowboys will still be a big home favorite. I'm thinking 8-10 point favorite.
There's really no way to put a positive spin on this for the Pack.

Farve is like 0-10 in Irving. Now he's a real pro and I'm sure he understands that he can win there. I'm just as sure there's a part of him that believes it just isnt in the cards. I mean come on, if he doesnt go down in Q2, does anyone believe that game's not over by halftime. The change of pace thier backup gave them was just what they needed........AND IT STILL WASNT GOOD ENOUGH. Not good enough by 10 points.

Nothing will change between now and Championship weekend. The game maybe good, it may be competitive, but in the end G.B. will be 10 plus points short on the scoreboard.

I have been used to the media spin for sometime now. Better get used to it esp if you watch ESPN. Most of them are from the east coast.

Funny how after dallas lost to philly, the talk was about how dangerous they'd be at home in Lambeau haha.

Y'know, nobody's really made much of the fact that the packers couldn't seem to hack the cold weather. LOL yet..the bears looked ok.

First the big bad Pack was unbeatable at home because of the cold weather conditions at their stadium. Now the big bad Pack is better off on the road because of the cold weather conditions at their stadium.

Yada yada yada.
Spin spin spin.
If the Boyz are healthy,
We will win win win.

I brought this up yesterday. Shaun King said it was a blessing in disguise for the Packers. It's pure comedy how both the cold and the warm weather makes it an advantage for the Packers. The media can't make up their mind.

;) Farve is going to feel a lot of wind, as he gets knocked down by D.Ware ;)

I think we could line up with them anywhere and still win. We had Favre's number in our earlier matchup, and the game wouldn't have been close if he continued to play.

Bring 'em on!

I've only heard Hodgey say that, and he took spin to a whole new level. It s a good wake up call, yes, but no team wants to get their ***** kicked like that ever.

The media still likes your guys nuts though. They talk like there is no way dallas isnt going to be in the NFC championship game

lol who's saying that? Before the games on Sunday, the entire gameday segment except maybe Ditka had Green Bay playing TAMPA in the NFC Championship game.

Or the fact that Favre has played pretty bad in Texas Stadium each time, including his last performance.

I agree with you, its almost a win-win situation for the Packers.

If they play at home, they have the Lambeau mystique and 80000 screaming fans on their side. If they play in Dallas, they won't have to deal with the wind and/or snow.

The spin isn't necessarily wrong, just stupid.
