Your not even a Cowboy fan...

Right...because you know me personally of course?

I have probably been a fan a lot longer than a lot of these young high school kids that post on these fan sites.

Trust me I've seen a lot over the years and I'm smart enough to realize that Tony Romo isn't Troy Aikman or Roger Staubach, nor is Wade Phillips Jimmy Johnson or Tom Landry....we are a good, not great, team this year, but there have been a lot of 12/13 win teams that have made the playoffs only to get bounced in their first game. And if we don't pick up our play I feel we will be another one of those teams.

the media (esp ESPN) would love to see Brett Favre in the SB. theyre saying how going on the road to Dallas will actually help the packers chances because their passing game is better suited for ideal conditions. Merrill Hoge said so on NFL Live.

No one kisses Brett's butt more than ESPN.

ESPN was laughable Sunday. First, during NFL Countdown, they moan the demise of the Cowboys for losing that close, hard fought game to the Eagles. All except Emmitt were going on about how Dallas would lose home field advantage to the Favres due to the fact that Romo was going to tank it in December, while SuperBrett had the mighty Peckers rolling.

We now come to the Blitz on Sunday night. The losers from Lambeau had just been shellacked by the Bears, & Favres' horrible performance. Boomer & TJ sit dumbfounded, realizing that if the Cowboys lost any & all momentum losing to the Eagles by a score of 10-6, then surely Green Fog was dead in the water after being totally blown out by the Bears at 35-7.....right?!

WRONG!!!! Boom looks over at Jackson and shrugs his shoulders & says, "It's a long season. You're bound to have one or two clunkers, unless you're New England, right?" I about rolled out of my chair laughing. What a joke these clowns are. I've seen more objectivity from a bunch of liberals at a Hillary Clinton convention than I have from ESPN! (Notice how they managed to get the Patriots' in there for the millionth time?)

I will give you that ESPN saying its a "great" thing for the packers to lose is boarderline idiotic..actually it is idiotic.

Favre will always get his man parts tickled by ESPN, thats a fact. But don't act all pissed off when ESPN assumes the NFC Championship game will be in dallas. They say favre will want to redeem his 0-9 record in dallas. Ok, who says dallas will be in the NFC Champ. game? They are talking about GB and Dallas in terms of HFA because they are the top seeds, but its obvious ESPN is hopping on both of their nuts.

Listen, either you're "all in" at this point, or just hit the road. The time for being an "objective" Cowboy fan is over. At this point, it's "all or nothing" in a season like this.
I too was a "tweaner" back in September. I've been around since 1965 and have seen it all. I start EVERY season skeptical. But after enough evidence, either your on board or not.
It's time for "fans" to be on board. What more do you need to see? It's too late to be all about "we'll see" and "I ain't sure yet". Either GET SURE, or go post somewhere else.
You just mentioned Jimmie Johnson in you attempt to "diss" Wade Phillips. You're probably to young, but I was around when EVERYONE dissed Jerry Jones for firing Landry and even HIRING Johnson! It was the scandal of the year in the NFL back then. EVERY PUNDIT and EVERY TALKING HEAD had a good laugh over THAT and predicted NOTHING but DOOM AND GLOOM for Dallas back then. Uh huh. Looked what happened then.
This is as good as it gets for a real Cowboy fan. Your continual doubt and "holding back" indicates that either your a new/fair weather fan.........or a troll looking to insert darkness. Either way, piss off. Like I said, at this point, either your on board or not............pick one.....................

you kind of expect the #1 seed to make it to the Championship game, but that's just me, maybe it's just wishful thinking

and who says you'll be in the playoffs? but yet here you are, talking about it

History and stats mean nothing this year.

Who would have thought that Brett Favre would be having one of his best years after the way he played the last 4 years?
So if history and stats mean nothing this year, then Gibbs previous track record in the postseason and Phillips' is irrelevent, right?

You can't have it both ways, bud.

??? Where in my quote did i mention the Commanders?

That comment was not needed. I don't know if that was an attempt to attack me or the skins, but it was irrelevent.

ESPN acts as though the NFC title game will be in dallas. According to the seeding it 'should' be, but they still have to play a game against someone, and in a league of 'parody', i think its irresponsible to act that way. At least say, "probably" or "if their seeding holds true" or some parenthetical.

it was just about as relevent as you bringing Dallas into a thread talking about Green Bay's beat-down

what is the most likely scenario

that the top 2 seeds end up in the Championship game? or the 4 and 6 seeds?

let's talk about the most likely scenarios

Ugh, ok. They talked about it being good for Favre because he likes adversity and would like to go against adversity and beat you guys at your place where he is 0-9. That assumes that you guys are in the title game.

See the connection?

With the skins being the 'hottest team in the NFC" and all this other crap they talk, they shouldnt just act like they will meet in the NFC title game.

Commanders the hottest team in the NFC? :lmao2:

Might just be me but have the Commanders won 8 of 9 like we have? Have they won 13 of 15? Ergo, how can they then by the hottest team in the NFC?

BTW, it is parity not parody.

Damn, i wish you could read properly. Look at what I said, then understand what a quote is, and how it is used. Then, understand what context is and apply it.

ESPN is acting like we are the hottest team in the NFC. This is just another example of stupid crap they say.

That is what i put. And you acted as though I was the one calling ourselves that. I never said that. I believe we are playing very well, but am not putting that label on us. Read.

It's just funny , how GB is a cold weather city and they just got smoked by the bears in that game. But i do agree though, they have a better chance at beating us in our kinda conditions in Tx stadium then, both teams playin in a Snow game in GB.. I still have alot of faith though if we meet again we will keep favre winless in TX..

Looking at how miserable Favre and some of the Packers looking in that extreme cold and win I think they may have had a hard time convincing themselves that GB is the place to be in late Jan.

.. in the Divisionsal game doesn't appear to be an advantage at all given the Chicago outcome.

There probably is some logic in saying GB might be better off in Dallas playing if both teams get that far.

But I'm not sure GB will get there. They are going to have to play a much better team than Chicago in cold GB to get to any Championship round against anybody.

They have alot of work to do.

Actually, I'd like to see anybody but GB for us. I'm not one to count anything that happened in the regular season to carry over into the post-season.

It all changes and you can throw out the past games as any indicator in the playoffs.

To me, the pressure has all shifted to Dallas. Personally, I'd like to see the Commanders pull a redo of the GB-Chicago outcome and choke on their chance.

I still have a hard time beleiving that even when we sit some players that we can't beat their QB.

Jason Garrett is going to have the chance to run some very different offensive formations with Johnson in there and and the Commanders are not going to have a book on what is coming. Should be interesting.

And the defense is surely going to have to play very, very aggressively if we rest some player on defense to makeup for guys like Ware and Ellis and Tnew, Henry and Ratliff resting and out.

They can't just sit back and play passive offense and defense and expect to get anything out of this game...win or lose with so many subs in.

This is one of those games where we see what the OC and DC coaches can come up with out of the box to help these players win this game playing shorthanded. They have both been very creative and have adjusted to having to play without full lineups all season.

We'll see.
