My minimum standard for a season is the playoffs. Just like when Landry took us to the postseason virtually every year except right at the beginning and end.

Its obscene that Jerry has allowed this mediocre clapper to have this long and not have more than two times in the postseason.

Believe what you will.

And I’d agree Garrett not bolting for those HC positions is puzzling but I think it falls in line with what we’ve seen in that Jerry and Jason have an agreement that goes beyond the norm.

Fans still believing we have a normal situation here hoping for normal solutions I’d argue are in denial.

It's puzzling for you because you believe that Jerry is some kind of pariah to coaches when there's been no evidence that is true. Garrett stayed because he thought he was in a good situation. If not, he would have left. It does not mean they have "an agreement that goes beyond the norm" unless you think having an owner and GM who believes wholeheartedly in you as head coach is beyond the norm.

It's not a normal situation because the owner is also the GM, but that far from means that it's a situation that makes coaches not want to come here. That's just silly speculation by anti-Jones extremists.

So, your saying there’s actually some Pro- Jerry fans that believe Jerry is presenting the best opportunity to win ? And you call me silly. lol

You actually believe Jerry would encourage or is inviting for an elite HC to come here? Curious what evidence is providing this thought ?

Could it be that Jerry doesn’t hold Jason directly accountable. And why wouldn’t he?

What evidence is there Jerry is interested in winning unless he recives the credit he’s pursuing as a football guy?

Wouldn't another HC like Jimmy recieve more credit than Jerry which is why they parted ways. There is not enough room for another ego as large as Jerry’s on the Dallas Cowboys and why no other elite or an up an coming Coordinator will come here unless no one else will hire him which would reduce him to bowing down like a good puppet.

Jerry’s interference and meddling with Parcells illustrated to everyone that it was only about getting his new stadium built which a drunken Jerry later admitted. He never had any intention of staying out of Bills way running off another good coach before his job was done probably costing us another championship.

I'm betting the reason Garrett stayed in Dallas was because nobody offered him as much money as Jerry did.
I don't know that to be a fact, but that would be my guess.

Jerry and Stephen don't believe in anything other than retaining power. However they have to rationalize why they ever held those positions, let alone for 20 plus years to this day, is what they'll say.

You didn't hear any talk of continuity when Parcells left. They couldn't wait to proclaim it a failure and go right back to their comfort zone. Remember the two top choices to replace him? Wade and Norv. They don't have a set between them.

It's all nonsense. Everything they say. Your owner is a lunatic. Stephen is his daddy's son. These guys are the worst thing to ever happen to this team.

I don't think there are any pro-Jerry fans. Who knows? Maybe there are a few. I can't think of anyone, though, who is glad that Jerry is the GM. If we were contending each year and winning Super Bowls, then all of us would be. But we're not, which clearly shows there are problems that that have been pretty easy to see.

I don't jump from that to this speculation that no coach wants to coach here unless they are a puppet. There's absolutely no proof to that, just like there's no proof to that being what the Joneses seek. Jerry has been all over the board with his coaching hires, as I've pointed out and you've ignored while providing no evidence to fit your conspiracy theory.

Jimmy was about as strong a personality as there is and an elite college coach. Barry was an elite college coach who Jerry knew from his playing days. Gailey was a highly respected offensive coordinator, a hot name that Jerry gave a shot. When that didn't work out, he turned to Campo, who had worked himself up through the ranks. When that didn't work, he went after a veteran, Super Bowl winner. Then he kept with the defensive side of the ball and gave another well-respected coordinator a chance, while grooming his future head coach in Garrett.

The only thing that hasn't changed about Jerry is he hasn't ceded final say by hiring a GM. It's the one thing we all want to change and know that needs to change, and it's the one thing that won't until he's too senile or weak to do it anymore.

I'm through dealing with you on this because you are clearly unreasonable in your hatred of Jones. I try to see him for what he is instead of what some of you think that he is. That doesn't make me pro-Jerry. It just makes me someone who can look at the situation objectively.

I believe the evidence we’ve seen is crystal clear but like with anything people can see the same thing and draw different conclusions.

Why anyone wouldn’t hate the way Jerry runs Cowboy football operations is a mystery to me?
