Meet the Cowboys new massive offensive line

I understand Guyton's rookie season was a disappointment. Everyone knows it. DCs across the league will see him as the weak link on that line. He must do better.

I me
They showed them whiny fans by winning a few Wild Card games, huh?
I mean yall wasn't complaining when they had top 5 RB, and Oline in that timeframe. But then again I guess drafting the sexy picks has paid off in the last 30 years too right+?. At least they building the trenches up smh

yeah...

LT Tyler Guyton: 6’7, 322 < Played RT in college
LG Tyler Smith: 6’6, 332 < Played LT in college
OC Cooper Beebe: 6’4, 335 < Played LG in college
RG Tyler Booker: 6’5, 321 , <Played LG in college
RT Terence Steele: 6’6, 310 < hasn't played well in two years

I would rather see:

LT Tyler Smith
LG Tyler Booker
OC Cooper Beebe
RG Bass or Hoffman
RT Tyler Guyton

This makes the left side of our line awesome and we would run directly at a opponent's best pass rusher, thus wearing him out and slowing him down.

But what do I know? I'm just an old man who likes football.
Amazing. It is so obvious, everyone gets to go back to their natural positions . . . If left to the Jones Boys it would never happen. Here is to holding out hope for the Coach to make the
Hope the Cowboys move this Oline around to this...

LT: Tyler Smith
LG: Tyler Booker
C: Cooper Beebe
RG: Brock Hoffman
RT: Tyler Guyton / Terence Steele
Except for Beebe, all their natural positions

Agreed. Common sense. Something this ownership and coaching staff hopefully finds.

I remember when people were upset in the 90s when Larry Allen was moved from his 2nd-4th year, 3 straight Pro Bowls pick, Right Guard position to various other positions over his career...

Larry Allen's position with the Dallas Cowboys evolved throughout his 12 seasons. He started as a right tackle in 1994, then moved to right guard from 1995-1997. He played left tackle from 1998-99 and left guard from 1999-2003. He then moved back to tackle and played his final seasons at left guard.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1994: Right Tackle
1995-1997: Right Guard
1998: Left Tackle
1999-2003: Left Guard
2004-2005: Left Tackle
2006: Left Guard

The change of positions did not stop Larry Allen from earning 11 Pro Bowl nominations at 3 different positions throughout his 14 year career. That's because Larry Allen was short (6'3") with shorter arms while playing Right Tackle (rookie year) and Left Tackle (5th year: Pro Bowl nomination).

Tyler Smith is much taller (6'6") and has much longer arms than Larry Allen had. Plus, Tyler Smith played Left Tackle in college, so what is the problem with moving him back to LT in order to plug rookie Tyler Booker at one of the Guard positions and yield our best front 5 to start across our Oline?
