The reality is that Murray isn't wanted by the Cowboys. If they wanted him then they would have already signed him. We talk about Murray taking a home town discount. Well if we valued him then it wouldn't have gotten to this point. The guy gave us every chance. I believe he wil be a jaguar by tomorrow. They will make him and offer and Dallas won't match. They never had any intentions of matching....sort of like Demarcus Ware.
You don't tell someone to go into the free agent market if you want to keep them. Especially when that player was just the offensive player of the year.

Honestly, DeMarco is NOT MBIII. We got burned on that deal and now are going the complete OPPOSITE direction. Here's a thought...just like everything else in life the wise path is somewhere in the MIDDLE. Sometimes you get burned sometimes you don't. Letting Murray go because we got screwed by the MBIII deal is plain stupid.

Not buying this at all. Hard to believe but they are doing exactly what they said they would do. Letting Murray set the market for himself.
I'm sure Murray will talk with them about any and all offers. That's what both sides have said all along.

fox sports says cowboys still the front runner. jags, and now raiders are leading the chase too.

Cowboys are playing this perfectly. I'm proud of how Stephen and jason and Mcclay have put this roster tog. Don't overpay and screw our future. If MURRAY wants to leave for money then we can go out and get a young rb in the draft who's hungry. If Demarco wants to come back for cheaper then great.

Yes, I'm so tired of hearing all the MBIII comparisons. The guy never even had a single 1,000 season.

I would like to think this is true. However the Cowboys already knew what the market would offer him. At least to an extent. I guess it's possible that they were both so far apart that the front office knew Demarco would get a reality check in the market. Just like the Cowboys knew that they wouldn't march Ware's contract before Denver even offered him one. Look at what the top 4-5 running backs are making. Look at Lynch, McCoy. They know that teams overpay in free agency. It's just a price to pay for poor drafting in some cases. Why release your player into a market where it's well known that teams overpay players? If you do this you are most likely going to lose the player or pay him more than you would have had to before free agency started.

Calculated risk. So far it's working in favor of the team.

lol Dez definitely doesn't want Murray getting any of his money, not a guy that is trying to rally for Murray to come back by typing out that twitter message. I do love the trash talk though at Jenkins.

Wasn't part of MBIII's downfall the fact that we changed his ideal role just to justify his contract? He had his best years being the 3rd down back, and "Closer", and once he got his big deal, was thrust into a totally different role?

sounds like that dez tweet is talking about murray.

Im not sure how to interpret what hes saying. Is it go to philly and run behind "meh" O-Line and get "meh" production or is it go there and watch me catch 3 Tds against your silly team from the other sideline.

Yep. He never should have been the starter.
