Mega "Where's Murray going?" Thread *Merge*

Anyone can go back through my posts and see I have had more than my shares of complaints with JJ and JG.
But, with that said, for how they have done things the past couple years, I (YIKES) feel comfortable putting my faith in them to do what is best for the team..balancing near term and long term.
Side note: I wanted Brandon Carr when they signed him, so I can't be a phoney now and bash them for paying this guy. That would be hypocritical.

My feeling is Murray will get a good offer and Dallas will match it or come close and Murray stays. Or the offer will be much bigger than Dallas wants to go and we lose him but I think it will happen sooner rather than later

Dallas may not be the only team that has concerns about his total number of carries, his age, his one big year, and the fact that he had arguably the best line in the NFL to run behind.

He will get offers but nothing what he hoped for or expected. At this point I think he stays.

Don't hate DM if it's true - this is basically him setting himself up financially for the rest of his life.

And i am happy for him. he gave the cowboys all he had and was a class act here. they would not pay him, so he left. don't blame Murray. blame Jerry and Stephen.

The fans care more about winning than the players do as long as they are getting paid. I know if I was getting 8 mil per year, I wouldn't care if I lost every game.

I don't know what is being offered or if Jacksonville is making an offers and could be he will let Dallas either match or come close to it or leave. We can both speculate

Well if it's a business for the Cowboys then it has to be a business for Murray. He has to do what's best for him and his family. It goes both ways.

This. It's very likely his last opportunity to make major money -- his last major contract if you will.

Nobody can blame him for chasing the big money.

Murray has done everything but beg the Cowboys to keep him.
I could never fault him if he left. He was pretty much forced out....
If he leaves that is.

That coke head who was suspended all year?? I thought he was off the team

Pothead/alcoholic, but the Khan has stood beside him and considers him a part of the team. I'd say his chances should be about up and even if he gets reinstated, I wouldn't expect him to last very much longer.

This is the only shot he is going to get at real money. He would have been a total fool to turn it down to stay with the boys at about half of that.

As much as I want Murray here, I don't blame the FO either. Depending on numbers of course. If Jville signs him low then I will be biotching.

If his source is on the Cowboys side, how is he reporting on what Murray and the Jags are doing (final stages, end of the day)?

I imagine that Jerruh asked Murray to let them know the deal - to see if it was close enough to what the Boys offered to maybe match it or come very close. And once Jerruh knows EVERYONE at VR knows

Unless he wanted to stay and have a chance to win multiple SB's with the Cowboys.

I would assume it's because Murray is keeping his end of the deal in reporting back to the team in case they want to match. It's not a secret that he prefers playing for Dallas.
