I cant keep track of all the Murray reports, so this is prob. old news, but Ian Rappaport on NFL Network just said the Dallas back-up plan if they dont keep Murray is C J Spiller. But Saints are also interested now in Spiller.

Yea, I heard the same thing...................apparently Spiller is the backup plan if we lose Murray and Peterson is not available.

I would love to see the Eagles sign him.

Please do. He's the NFL's leading rusher. Open up the vault.

As for Spiller.....................I would pass on him...................Buffalo was so impressed with him they traded for McCoy.

I don't put much stock into this... Chip just said they were offered a first for Bradford. So then Murray calls to ask about playing with him? Give me a break.

Chip signs Matthews? Murray calls anyways? Give me a break.

How much cap space do they have at the moment? Answer: Not enough to sign Murray I'd think.

Matthews/Byron/Thurmond/Sanchez/Bradford

I have read where Bills fans say he is among the worst RBs in the league in pass protection.

LOL :lmao2:
I watched the ole Chipster in his presser today. He does come off, to me, as a real shyster.

Bradford did say in his press conference he is good friends with Murray, and had been actively recruiting him since he heard about the trade.

If Bradford is a temp in Philly, it's news to him.

I get that, but there are some things you just don't do.

You don't call up the head coach of your team's most hated division rival and tell him how bad you want to play in his offense. That is a slap to the face of the entire Cowboy nation.

Demarco just went Benedict Arnold on us.

I agree. It's one thing if your agent talks to Philly but to personally call them up and beg to go there is disgusting. Hope it's not true but if it is then he's crossed the line.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Per ESPN

League-rushing champion DeMarco Murray personally reached out to Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly on Wednesday morning, expressing his desire to play in Kelly's spread offense and with former Oklahoma roommate and quarterback Sam Bradford, according to league and team sources.

I have a problem with this. I understand that loyalty only goes so far, but this is a pandering move that is completely contrary to the business we have been fed for weeks that Murray really wants to be in Dallas. Calling the chubby head coach of a hated rival? Sounds like it.

I have heard from a reliable source that this would be against the Chip Kelly philosophy and would never happen.

I would have done that too and it would have had nothing to do with Spiller. Trade an oft injured LB (going back to college) whose time will be limited in this league for a superstar to pin my name on as the new coach of an NFL team. Sold!

LT on NFLN just now said his source is saying Philly is a real possibility. Bet he and Murray text.
