Nothing to be finalized tonight in DeMarco Murray pursuit, per source. He will most likely take a visit soon.@profootballtalk

According to Profootballtalk, "at least one of the teams" pursuing free agent DeMarco Murray believes Murray will end up back in Dallas.

Despite all of the fits Murray has thrown regarding Dallas' contract offer -- reported at $5 million per year -- our expectation has been and will continue to be that he'll return to the Cowboys. He's not going to produce more elsewhere, and we're similarly skeptical Murray would get significantly more money from another team. NFL clubs simply don't break the bank on 27-year-old running backs coming off 500-touch seasons. The Cowboys have not dived into the free agent running back market, which is probably the strongest sign that they too believe there's a good chance Murray stays put.

I hope this is TRUE!!

Really? Sean Lee and Spencer? spencer had an injury for 2 straight seasons and Lee has never played a full season. I don't think anyone who follows the Cowboys could be shocked to hear these guys were hurt.

When we paid them we didn't assume these things.
And this is a totally different situation. This is a RB. They are replaceable. Will a replacement be as good as Murray? Unless it's AD, no. But there will be plenty of good options.

Regardless of what Murray does I just can't understand how some fans are so passionate about not paying Murray when if you look at how much we paid guys like Spencer or Sean Lee to sit and rehab. Any RB we have will make more of a contribution than many other players on our team and on other teams.

Spencer came off a double digit sack season and was healthy when he got tagged(which was only a 1 year commitment anyways), and Sean Lee has all kinds of games played incentives in his contract. He gets paid low money when he gets injured. Not good examples ti help prove your point
