He is due.Kiss of death, he never mocks Dallas right.

That would be perfect...but even if Denver doesn't bite, I'm looking to move up and get Barnett if it fell this way.Man if the draft fell just like this - I would be on the phone with Denver " Hey there John ol buddy, we will give you Romo and # 28 straight up for your # 20, deal ? Sweet, send it in"
With the # 20 pick from Denver, Dallas select's - Derrick Barnett, War Daddy - Tennessee.
Woop, woop.
Peppers would bring the same swagger to the defensive side of the ball as Ezekiel Elliott brought to the offensive side.I like them both. They are football players above being premier athletes. And our staff loves versatility in the secondary (B. Jones, N. Carroll, etc.). One thing I do know from watching the combine is that Mayock repeatedly referred to Peppers as the "alpha dog" of the DB group. He is a born leader, and was very impressive in his televised interview. FWIW.
That's exactly what I was going to say... if Barnett falls to 20 or so, Dallas needs to go get that guy. He's going to be very good, very quickly. That would be perfect...but even if Denver doesn't bite, I'm looking to move up and get Barnett if it fell this way.

Dude... you just did that to aggravate me, lol.WAR DADDY !
lolI don't think Marinelli is creative enough to take advantage of a player like Peppers.
Peppers isn't knocking anybody around. He's a drag tackler.Peppers would bring the same swagger to the defensive side of the ball as Ezekiel Elliott brought to the offensive side.
I'd like the pick very much. You want to be solid down the center of your defense, and Peppers would be rock solid as a SS. He'll knock your block off.
Peppers is so much faster and athletic than Church and Wilcox and can do so much more. Talk about an upgrade. Great blitzer too.
Dallas lost two SS's in Free Agency... I don't see why anyone wouldn't like replacing them with a Boss like Peppers. Plus he could play nickel LB and give you lots of options. Bring in Heath at SS and move Peppers to a LB spot on third and longs.
But probably my favorite part about him is his alpha dog attitude and supreme athlete confidence he'd bring.
LmaoYeah, we are deep at safety so looks like a wasted pick.
Been steadily rising. If he's not a late 1st he probably won't last long after that.

I do like his versatility, maybe we wouldn't have to substitute so much and get caught with 12 men. I wouldn't mind him at all.
I just wonder about us drafting 2 safeties in the first round. Not really a position that deserves that much attention, especially with our other needs. I would be surprised at the pick, but would be happy to get him. With the deep CB class, that would save the pick. Our D does need a leader like him, heck I can't remember the last time we had one. Course if we did that, we would immediately have to go DE or CB.

What makes him smart? And that's the main thing I need from a safety and I'm not talking book smarts which it seems Byron has, but lacks football smarts. Can Peppers diagnose route combinations? I haven't seen it. Can he manipulate a qbs eyes? I haven't seen it. Can he chase and tackle? Sure. So could Wilcox and Church though.Talented, athletic, smart, leader
What's not to like
Church could. Wilcox I wouldn't say so. LolWhat makes him smart? And that's the main thing I need from a safety and I'm not talking book smarts which it seems Byron has, but lacks football smarts.
