I think Hogan's a career backup. Maybe a decent one.
According to Mel people within the league keep telling him Brissett will be drafted earlier than expected.
With the 34th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select.....

He and Kessler have a chance to be that kind of career backup type.
1(4) Jalen Ramsey CB Florida St.
2(34) Jacoby Brissett QB North Carolina St.
3(67) Austin Hooper TE Stanford
Then we turn it over to Will for some more find day 3 work.
I'm a little higher on Nate Sudfeld than most. I think he could be that type too but probably won't go until very late.
So maybe once we add Brissett in the 2nd we could potentially get his backup in Sudfeld with one of those 6th round comp picks.
Go Cowboys?
This is so not funny.
Here's the thing though. If the pick is Ramsey in the 1st I think that makes it highly likely they make a bad QB pick in the 2nd round. I think they'll feel pressed to fill that need and there just isn't a QB worth the pick there.
Was this the kid at the Senior Bowl practices who kept running when they called Pass plays?

All in all, I keep seeing things about this QB class that really strikes against the grain.
Common opinion was that it was a pedestrian class. In a pure sense, okay, believe that. But teams overvalue QBs so much. I mean, trash like Sean Mannion went in the third. Teams can't evaluate the position, so they fall in love with traits.
At the end of the day, I bet more get drafted than everyone believe.
That's where I don't get where some pundits are coming from.
Are they basing the draft positioning on their opinions or on what they hear idiotic NFL types mumbling?
I actually think it's a decent class, far better than a year ago.
Id take him with the first 4th. Dude has some game to him. Mobility and an arm, dont know the mental makeup, but we never do know.
Brissett just makes a lot of plays on talent alone. It is pretty clear he was not dissecting opposing defenses.
It is the same thing with other prospects. Why on earth there is he idea t that physical talents can transcend all, I don't know.
It always comes back to coaching.
And well. We have Wade Wilson.
I heard his oline was so bad he didn't have time to dissect anything. I'll trust Dallas on this one.
