Still trying to finish the 40 yard dash.

His agent PMed me...said that he, the agent, had finished the 40 and was waiting for his client to meet him.:p: ;)

He needed that 38 yard course that Eugene McDaniel ran on.

I'd be hacked off if Dallas took a kicker with the 1st pick. Only the Raiders would be dumb enough to spend a 1st rd pick on a kicker

Going BPA is not necessarily limited to the first round, is it?

:)

As long as Dallas does not take a kicker in day 1. Personally I don't believe strictly on BPA, you could have 3 guys with a similar grade on your draft board and I think you go with the BPA who fits the greater need. I think drafting for need is a mistake but I do think need plays a part in who teams draft.

Wow. It is like folks haven't paid any attention to our drafts in the past few years. Bad character doesn't get you picked. Now in the FA market, we've gambled a little bit but not with draft picks. Thinking that we'll use a first day pick on a guy with character question marks is just not gonna happen

:clap2:

So you are saying that Meriweather's off field issues are just as bad or equal to Pacman Jones?

Meriweather's off field issues in college were worse than Pac Man's in college. Yes.

Nelson was hands down the best player on a National Championship defense. Merriweather was the biggest thug on a team full of thugs.

We aren't drafting a FS in the 1st round. I'm thinking we won't draft a safety period.

A lot of people on this board don't seem to think that way I guess.

Actually guys and gals, NONE of us know what Dallas will do come draft day so definitive statements like Michael's don't hold much weight. At this point we are all opining. Hell, last year I would have never guessed in one million years we would draft Fasano despite having an All-Pro TE. (They didn't begin the two TE base offense talk with the media until everyone was questioning the selection).

All I can say is we will see. Thankfully Dallas has no glaring need so that is a luxury.

 Dallas is not going to draft a FS in the first round, get over it. It's not a need, and nobody could put enough spin on it to say it is. It was probably unlikely we were going to draft one in the first before we signed Hamlin and now that we have signed Hamlin the chances have fallen to slim or none. BPA is nice and all in theory but isn't really practical because there are needs on this team and if there are really good players left on the board and they happen to be positions we need then we're taking them, even if merri and Landry are still on the board, deal with it.

I would think that having a 24th ranked Pass Defense, is a "glaring need"

Honestly I don't care who we draft as long as he can play football at a high level in the NFL. I would rather Dallas go CB if you really need to know but would be fine with a WR, OT, NT, DE/OLB, G, whatever as long as he is no bust.

That needs to improve. No doubt about it. Some say it'll improve because of Wade's aggressive defense and pass rush. I think it would improve by getting another cover guy since Henry (31yrs. old by season end) has been injured each of his seasons in Dallas and Glenn is 33+ yrs. old.

We'll see on the 28th and 29th.

Learn to distinguish between fact and opinion.

It would serve you well.

Fact: There is no need for a FS on this team with Pat Watkins and Ken Hamlin already here.

Opinion: Merriwether is better than Landry.

There are other/bigger needs on this team my friend, If you can't accept that as fact then you are blind.

Pot meet kettle.

You can't distinguish between your own opinion and fact and have the nerve to call someone else 'blind'?

Check yourself son.

 You know I could say Toby Korrodi QB out of Central Missouri isn't going to be the #1 pick in the NFL draft is that fact? No it's not a fact because the draft hasn't happened, but it is a safe assumption. Get over yourself my friend.

Not much you, me, or anyone else could say about this year's draft can be considered 'fact'. Glad you finally see that.

In your opinion, the team doesn't need a FS, we get it.

And you're more than welcome to your opinion.

Just like every other fan who posts here is entitled to theirs.
